Baba Pyare Caves - Tourist attraction in Junagadh - Junagadh, India

Bava Pyara caves are an example of ancient man-made caverns. The caves are a part of the Junagadh Buddhist Cave Groups situated in the eastern part of Junagadh of the Indian state of Gujarat. Bava Pyara caves contains artworks of both Buddhism and Jainism. These caves are arranged in three lines; the first line on the north-facing southwards, the second line on the south from the east end of the first line, and the third line runs back of the second line in west-north-west. The second line has a primitive flat-roofed chaitya cave having simple cells on either side of it with extra cells on the north and east of it.

A good place to visit once if you like archeological sights.

This archaeological site but this place is closed during the day also .this place have amazing rock cut caves.

Place is nice, you can sit quite to give your mind a relaxing peace. No crowd, easily you can have fun for maximum 1 hr.

Very less people generally visit this place. ASI department should do something for this place. You can not walk freely here,it means you can fall down at any point of time. ASI should try to make a path to walk freely inside this place.you can not reverse your car if you park your car outside this place. There are so many closet made by Buddhists using stones.

Ancient Buddhist ruins that may have been meditation rooms in that time period. Well maintained. You can tend to miss this place at it's in the midst of residential homes. Must visit.

Rock cut architecture. Good for architecture students to visualise the civilization and lifestyle of that time. Still some carvings, sitting portions are damaged by human animals but overall structure can be analysed property.

While the caves are still preserved somewhat, there is not much information mentioned there. No carvings or paintings. I wonder why can't they even put few sign boards in the rooms. This place is also missing from popular traveler lists. While parking can be a huge issue, due to low popularity of this place, I found parking easily!
