BABA GUEST HOUSE - Guest house in Varanasi - Varanasi, India

Stayed at this place for 4 days. Rooms were basic but clean. It is close to dashashwamedh ghat and other important places in Varanasi. There is also one cafe on top of the guest house with a great view of Ganga. Since it is located in the old Varanasi, it might be difficult to locate this place. Not recommended for old people with knee problems.

Baba Guest house has been fantastic the location (..is correct with Google maps) is perfect, maybe 20steps to a beautiful view and access to the Ganges river or visit there roof top restaurant that have amazing food, and choices at really really great value (and really good coffee) nice ambience, friendly helpful staff. the room we have was very nice, peaceful, good ac , clean room and barthroom, safe with good locks, and great wi-fi. I feel lucky to have found the gem and would highly recommend. Thank you Baba guest house(hotel) and staff

i had a wonderful experience in this place as a white european woman solo travelling! Even if it was just for one night i will definitely come back to this place next time im headed to Varanasi! The manager helped me kindly book my train ticket as i was not very acquainted with the railways service in india yet so thank you again The rooms are clean tidy and neat and the rooftop restaurant is so peaceful the food delicious the people very kind and the view! Ganga thank you again i will recommend this place to my friends and family if they ever plan on going to Varanasi :) definitely a 5 for me, Romane

A small guest house at the perfect location in Varanasi at Dasashwamegh Ghat which is the main area in Varanasi. This property also has a roof top cafe giving a beautiful view of Ganga Maiya but when I visited, the cafe was under renovation and soon this work will be over and people will get to enjoy this view. Also, this small place has all the facilities like hotels, proper ventilation inside the room and foremost safety. The staff is very cooperative, helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this property whether you are going with family, friends.

Location is just bang beside the ghat 20 meters from ghat. But to reach the hotel need to walk 400 meters. Rooms and good Service is excellent There is a cafe on top floor with ganga view. U would get indian and french food. Food is excellent

Easily one of the best properties I've stayed in. The hosts were friendly and cooperative and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. It was slightly challenging to find the location at first but we got to know a shortcut and a clearer route later on which helped. The wifi worked well, the rooms were adequate, the linen was clean, the property was well maintained, hot and cold water was available, they have drinking water on premises as well as an amazing Indo-French cafe with the best food ever. Everything, including safety, accessibility of the ghats and temples from the location.

Great guesthouse! Perfect location next to the ghats, super clean rooms, friendly staff and amazing cafe/restaurant on the rooftop.

Positive: Staff is warm,welcoming and very attentive. The manager was very helpful booking a taxi to take us to our next destination. He also took us to meet it-cars can't come into Varanasi's old town. The rooftop restaurant is excellent. 5 minute walk to ghats! Negative: Our room could have been nicer. It was cramped. More hangers and a clothes rack would have been nice.
