Amazing collection and good quality clothes. However, the only con was on the price side. The items are exceptionally high and over priced here which is leading the customers to other outlets out there. If the prices were nominal and customer friendly I would have definitely rated 4+ star for this place.

So many of the reviews about this place are correct. The collection is amazing. Salesmanship is very good. But it is 2X to 3X marked up. Many guides and taxis get hefty commission here and will pressure or get you here straight. I ended up buying stuff, knowing very well i paid double the price, simply because I liked something within a few minutes. I don't trust that the quality is what they claim. I can't tell for sure.

Encore un marchand frauduleux avec une machine bien huile... Il vous fait descendre dans son Shop et vous deballe ses fameux chale qui vends a hermes, Kenzo et autres grande marques (a croire que tout les vendeurs du Rajasthan vendent a hermes ) Puis ensuite vous sort des prix 100$,300$ pour surement du simple coton synthetique bas de gamme. Il a essaye de me vendre une echarpe en sois disant baby pashmina avec des tresse au bout, impossible car on ne peut pas tresse le poil de la chevre. En un mot: SCAMMER Fuyez !

One word - Cheaters! He will show you a magazine with the name Baba Emporium and will try to sell you stuff under the pretext of big brand names like Hermes, brunello c. Etc. it's all fake. My clothes have shrunk and blanket is shedding. Do not buy.

Amazing selection of handmade goods. The salesmen (Montu) were lovely and displayed many different items for us before we had a browse. The place is more hidden behind the clock tower but would definitely recommend a trip here!

The emporium truly means it. Its hugee..!!! With some amazing collection every section they hav .16 shops hav it under the same emporium and i bet u wont b able to buy jus one thing its truly nice . Rate is as for local people and not for tourist and quality is best . For shopoholic ppl do visit here once ..u wont even knw u ill end up the whole day shopping

I advise against dealing with this man.. I paid $390 to have a quilt shopped to the U.S. and sent him explicit emails with a photo of the piece I wanted, but instead he sent me one that of a different color, faded out, and probably unsaleable. I couldn't get him to respond to emails until I wrote Paypal and asked them to begin the refund process. I got a response the next day from him saying that he would ship what I wanted, but asking me to spend another $20 for shipping. And that was after paying his asking price, foolish me! Needless to say, this was a bad experience. There are ways to avoid going through what I did. For textiles, National Geographic Traveler recommends other shops, including Prakash Silk, Thar Handloom, Via Vishnoi, and Design India. Besides these, there are also a number of large, export-oriented stores handcrafts warehouses all within a two-block stretch of one another akibg Rasala Rd. near the Taj Hotel. If you do see something you want at Baba and it costs $100 or more, negotiate for a purchase this way: 1) Shop it against another store that is just a five-minute walk, Maharani, going back and forth between each store to get bids for the same kinds of materials and then seeing how much each store will drop its price (that drop could be 50%) or more each store twice and asking for the same kind of thing; 2) Don't them get you "invested" in buying from them by taking too much of your time; 3) Pay only with a credit card or Paypal to protect against fraud and wrongful shipping (they'll surely take Paypal; if they don't, say you can't buy); 5) if you ship, make sure what you bought is in the package. 6) If you have a bad experience, tell your hotel host which shop hurt your Jodhpur experience; 7) Don't reveal your "must have" and get a price for an alternative; 8) Don't believe there is someone famous in the next room.

We bought lot of items looking at the YouTube video however our experience is not good. Very expensive stuff and they say it is because the quality is good etc. But the 3 bedsheets we brought from them, all of their colour faded off like a very old bedsheet. Each bedsheet costed us 1000rs each. I am not sure about the other clothes as we haven't started using them yet. Literally a waste of money and nothing else.
