B. C. Roy Technology Hospital, IIT - KGP situated near lake is providing Emergency Unit, Indoor Dept. For Male and Seperately for Female Ward And also Outdoor Dept.for treatment for Students and Staffs & their families at free of cost and also providing services in out door to the parents of students on payment basis. Services are more or less satisfactorily.
2 stars only because it has all available doctors. And has a structure.... Poor quality examining by doctors, for whom we had to stand for hours. esp for the students...... The only good thing is it's free for students...
My father is admitted here on 21st January 2023 and getting satistactory check up..doctors/nursing staff are giving their 100%...my father is recovering very fast and hopefully he may get discharged in few more days.
Pathetic management. I had to see the Dermatalogy doctor on Thursday who sits from 5-8 pm. But for that studen6have to stay in queue from 12:30 pm to 5 pm so that they get to the see the doctor because they see only 40 patients during this time. Making a student wait for 4 hours is so miss-management. Disappointed.
It's the only hospital with primary medical facilities inside IIT Kharagpur campus. It's free for its staff and IIT Kharagpur students. The hospital has many fascilities like Xray, pathology, vaccination, along with male and female ward. But for major desease it is not suitable. Out door has many doctors along with one emergency unit. Dr. I. Banerjee and Dr.N.k Som are very reknowned and best doctors in BC roy hospital.
Only good if you have don't have some serious issues like common cold, flu, food poisoning. Its better to go somewhere else.
Despite the large number of patients coming to visit the dermatologist, they have only one slot of 3 hours for the students. Poor, substandard planning.
iit kgp just need a hospital .....i think this was the only reason for that it was built. doctors are careless..stuffs also...for a normal fever you will be prescribed a lot of medicines.
