Azhimala Beach - Tourist attraction in Kottukal - Thiruvananthapuram, India

Beach is beautiful and have good atmosphere. But there is a lot of plastic waste around. It is amazing that a lot of ayurvedic treatment centres are in this beach and the Azhimala temple which is quite famous. But nobody cares about the environment. All are living in a mystical world and not caring for the mother earth.

It is one of beautiful beaches in Trivandrum. Come to know it was part of somatheeram beach. The shiva's sculpture was giving an extra mileage to the beach view. Best options for an evening spent in Trivandrum

A beautiful beach adjacent to the Azhimala Shiva Temple. White sands changing colours of the water as one views seawards, fringed by coconut trees and a small cliff on which the temple is built. Beautiful location with a lot of trails through the coconut groves, but one is likely to stumble upon a random couple, as the spot is generally less visited and favoured by couples for social meetings.

One main attraction in this temple is Shiva statue and beach view nothing except this, 20/- per person to go near the Shiva statue and meditation centre was closed, small renovation work is going on. Worth visiting only for photos of Shiva statue and beach view parking available for free.

Not exactly a beach nor is it great. Resorts have some cabanas and chairs otherwise the Azhimala temple and beach has a tourism sort of atmosphere.

Beach with a good vibe Nearest from vizhinjam port. Some large rocks on the beach side. Good view from azhimala temple. Lord Siva statue will viewed by beach. Beach on kovalam. Loved it

Beautiful place with a nice temple for Shiva with a grand statue of Siva..a beautifully sculpted. With the massive Arabian sea as a backdrop this place is surreal

Too hot , try not to visit in afternoon. Good place for photos.
