Azad has a reputation, and it's been known for their Puri-Shak along with sweet side-dish called 'Majun'. For one, the half is sufficient quantity. Costing 90/- for puri-sabji combo and 30/- for 50g Majun Sweet [Personal Fav] along with whole pots of salads, fried chillis, lemons and pickle. Although Shak was sweet, the combination went very well. To go all with this Masala chass was here to rescue. Majun sweet was new to me, I never had anything like that it was just too good for me to just attack on it. A must recommend dish if you order something from this place. This place has 2 branches. One is in zavriwad and the other in the kalupur area. Parking is very difficult, so it's better to have walkaways or park in pols.

It's such a great experience to visit the oldest show in old city ahmedabad for a lunch which was fabulous the show owner is humble as well as food quality is amazing and the sweet dish called majum was too good i suggest must to try it if you love sweet halwa and the puri bhaji and gujarati thaali is also good as reasonable price and one more thing that samosa was also soft and crispy over there ....

Worst behaviour by the staff Taking extra extra extra for almost every small thing. Food was also too much oily and not worth the Hype. We ordered chat dal pakwan chole puri and aloo paratha. All were not good. Bad behaviour.
Only name is big. We take a puri shak at this place but i think chandravilas is a best option i always take same food at chandra vilas and never disappoint but i first time try at azad and i realise azad have not a taste and quality. Puri has not any softness whatever the characteristics of puri. From lots of year they serves people and not understanding the properties of basic food is so Alas.
I always prefer to buy sweets from here whenever I go home being a non-Gujarati. The service here is the best. Loved the sweets from here. But the shop can be little bit extended, space is less. I recommend the place.
