A very well-built hanging bridge with an outstanding view around is peaceful and relaxing. It was a nice, a little cool day when I got there; it really made me feel like sleeping there. It appeared to be about to rain--a nice cool breeze If only I could stay there longer, I would have been hiking. But maybe, nah, at that time, I was being too lazy to explore; I just sat on the grass and enjoyed the sound of nature The place was almost completely empty. I thought there would be so many people or tourists. Well, maybe then that day I was lucky to get the bridge for my own"(.*o*.)no

I crossed the Ayyapancovil Hanging Bridge on a warm and sunny day during my visit to Kerala, India. As I stepped onto the bridge, I could feel a gentle sway beneath my feet, which added an exciting element to the experience. The lush green surroundings and the flowing Kalladayar River beneath were a sight to behold. Walking along the bridge, I couldn't help but pause to take in the breathtaking views. A 3600 scenic place with a Non-maintained 10+ years old hanging bridge. Visitors are not following any discipline, they are dancing and running on the bridge since the it is marked and displayed a warning board saying its in a dangerous condition. People are throwing plastic bottles, liquor bottles, food containers and packaged snack covers etc. Please don't spoil this place, its upcoming tourist location. Be a responsible tourist!!!

No entry fees. The longest and highest hanging bridge in Kerala. There are so many people coming to see it every day from different places in Kerala. Really amazing experience on the bridge crossing the longest river Periyar. A Beautiful hanging bridge. Since we visited during the summer season, we were able to walk under the bridge. We saw a temple which will get submerged under the water when the dam opens or during monsoon. When it's not filled with water, the valley is like an english grassland. Must visit during a summer morning or evening! #Shoot by DGL driver...

This is not a great tourist destination in Idukki District but it is so isolated and serene and peaceful while we visited! It was told it is the highest and oldest hanging bridge!! There is no entry or parking fees, No guards in that place. A great place to take picture and lies above longest Periyar river. There is a temple which is visble only when the river is dry. If looks like a complete grassland when the water flow is less The bridge is not maintained properly and almost half of it got rusted. One feel the sway While walking over the bridge which is an unique and amazing experience!!! The tourist needed to be responsible cox anything may happen since it is damaged and we can see people jumping and dancing over it. Throwing away thrash and water bottles from the top can be avoided!

Good view and peacful climate.. But i think thr bridge is in a bad condition anytime anything can happen the 60% part is already rusted
