If you want to have a good trekking experience with an easy to moderate difficulty level, then this is one of the best places (near Bangalore). Almost 70 kilometres away from Hoskote. near Shri Ramalingeshwara Swami Temple. There are many small temples along the way while trekking. We started trekking around at 12.Since there was enough wind in the afternoon, we didn't feel tired. There are enough signs so that you won't get lost. There are many scenic viewpoints from which to take pictures. In a few places, it is slippery, and at a few places, they have kept ropes so that it will be easy during trekking. At the top, there is a temple, and the view is really good. It's worth. It took almost 3 hours for the total trek. (We Took multiple breaks to enjoy the view and take pictures.) Please carry enough water and snacks since you won't get anything to eat or drink. There are a lot of plastic bottles along the path, which spoils the beauty of the nature.

It wasn't a easy trek - but with multiple breaks we were able to reach on top of the hill. Every time we took a break - we were busy clicking pictures and admiring the views it provided. We reached early and we're back down by 1100hrs. I think that was best idea we had. It was getting bit hotter with all the boulders around. The trek is scattered with multiple mythical spots - like Valmiki's ashram, birth place of Love & Khush etc. All signs are in Kannada so will be difficult for the uninitiated! There were few guides at the start of trek point. You can engage them if need be. Please carry water - as there are not stores once you start the trek. Place is more or less clean but we could a bit of litter. We cleaned one lake on the way up - plastic covers, bottles etc. One way to ensure place remains clean is to take some time out and clean as much as you can. Enjoy the trek

A very good place for a relaxed holiday. You can spend a day there. A group of people if you go more fun. It is not crowded. So for safety also it is good if you visit the place with friends and family. Half an hour is needed to reach a small temple on the top if you climb directly. But it is better to take a stop in between and enjoy the nature's beauty- the scenery, big rocks etc. The needed water and snacks we have to carry. Nothing is available there. From the top the view is beautiful . The main drawback is no toilets. There is a public toilet down near the car parking area, but not maintained at all. Only after reaching the highway we have to go to a restaurant to use the toilets. The basic need if the Govt provides it is well and good.

Easy Trek. Went with kids of age 6-9 and they did not find it difficult. One of the friend came with his toddler and still managed to finish trek easily. View from different points are mesmerising! Place is key landmark in Ramayana as Luv-Kush were born here. Local guides are available and they dont charge much. They will share stories at different points! No entry fees or parking fees! Visited ancient temple which is located near by starting point! Overall great day of picnic with family within 100kms of Bengaluru city. PS: carry enough water and snacks as usual if you are going with family.

Oh,never knew about this place after being in bangalore for soooooo loooong!! It is a place worth visiting It is supposedly a place of Valmiki ashram where seethamatha gave birth to luv-Kush. Better start early morning Lot of Caves,small ponds,cloth washing (by seethamath)area and at the top is seetha mandir and the place where Seetha went back to mother earth. It takes about 2-21/2. Hours to see everything. It is almost plastic free zone PLS DO NOT THROW PLASTIC AND SPOIL THE ENVIRONMENT The place is near Mulabagal Pack your breakfast and have it after coming down Or you can have breakfast at Nandi grand after hoskote For lunch you can go to sripadaraja mutt which is 8 km away We were told that we can order food at a shardadevi temple at foot hill
