We have ordered for starters - Mutton cutlets, Fish Tawa fry, Prawns dry fry. For the main course we had - Avial - mixed vegetables curry Delicious chicken stew with hot appams Traditional Malabar fish curry with Kerala rice. Last but not the least, the traditional hot dessert - Parippu payasam An excellent experience. Will visit soon again. I strongly recommend this place.

I've dined at this restaurant twice now. While the food is quite delicious, the management and customer service leave much to be desired. It's disheartening to witness a restaurant with such potential for growth in such a sorry state. The entrance is unconventional we had to navigate through restaurant origami's fire exit and take a flight of stairs to access the restaurant. Staffing is insufficient, with a single server responsible for taking orders and attending to all guests. The restaurant's cleanliness is commendable, but its overall ambiance fails to create a welcoming atmosphere. It feels like an unwelcoming, enclosed space repurposed as a restaurant. Ordering food are painstakingly slow, especially when multiple groups are dining simultaneously, leading to order mix-ups and chaos. On one occasion, we ordered appam and had to wait endlessly until we inquired about our order, only to discover it had been prepared and left on the kitchen table, forgotten by the understaffed waitstaff. It's disheartening to witness a restaurant with excellent food in such a state of disarray. I hope my feedback reaches the management, prompting them to hire more staff and enhance their service quality. Additionally, it's disappointing to note that the restaurant lacked basic chutney to accompany the starters, and the starters themselves were prepared without salt, resulting in a rather bland taste.

Living upto its name of Authentic Kerala, the restaurant serves some 'authentic' Kerala food right from dishes like Appam, Sadhya, sea-food delicacies from fish curry, crab meat and more. Chicken Cutlets Round shape cutlets filled with minced chicken. Crispy and tasty on every single bite. Crab Meat Thoran First time trying crab meat from the backwaters of Kerala and it was a delightful experience. The thoran was quite flavourful and tasty. Nadan Fish Curry with Idiappam and Porotta Another signature Kerala dish. A combination of spicy and tangy fish curry with flavors of roasted coconut, ginger, garlic and different types peppers. This tasted really yummy with both Appam as well as with the Porotta. Buff coconut fry Masala and spice marinated tender chunks of meat. It was a good preparation. For refreshments, we had Peach Iced Tea and Mojito. Chef Arun was also quite welcoming and helpful in recommending us some really mouthwatering food. Located at top of the hill at Hiranandani, Powai, Authentic Kerala is one of the most exotic locations to go out with friends as well as family!

Authentic Kerala - Taste of Malabar stands by its name thick and strong. Everything at the restaurant takes you to the roots of Kerala. Be it the hospitality, the vibes, the aura, and the decor. The vintage feels make you believe that you are in the right spot. The food is undoubtedly the best of all times. We had a great time, and thank the owners for coming up with an authentic place like Authentic Kerala. The food menu speaks about the specialties you get in Kerala. We started with fresh coconut water to quench our thirst. For starters, we had the delicious Chicken Kondattam (Boneless), and Mutton Karumura. I never tasted such authentic flavors. Other than the mutton was a bit chewy, rest everything was perfect. For mains, we had the traditional Sambhar and rice along with Malabar Fish Curry. We ended on a sweet note Nurukku Gothambu Payasam. Not forget the complementary fryums, pickle, and rasam on every table. It was indeed a great experience. If you ever decide to look out for traditional authentic Kerala styled food in Mumbai, then this is the place.

If you're looking for authentic kerala cuisine definitely visit the place. The food is tasty and true to its name. We tried the kerala chicken fry and the prawns fry as well. I would definitely recommend the chicken it was delicious and full of flavor. For mains we called for sambar, fish curry, and rice. The fish curry was a little extra tangy but the sambar and ghee rice combination was perfect a ofcourse a must have. Also loved how they served some chips and papdum everything was prepared in coconut oil and tasted good. The fish pickle was nice.

Finding this restaurant is a puzzle itself. For all people going for the first time it's in supreme building b wing inside origami restaurant. You will find it hard to locate it since there's no sign board pointing it out. People will ask you Kerala restaurant na ? Ambience is good, food was delicious. Less crowd so got to enjoy our dinner nicely. Non- vegetarian options more and there's karoke setup so one can enjoy that as well. Good service.

Authentic Kerala the name has it all looking for a outlet for a typical Kerala cuisine well this is the place you must visit then. This place serves one of the best appam and chicken stew in town. Luckily this place is right next to my work place. We all went there for a team lunch we not sure about the food served over here. As this place was not that popular but must say this place is a hidden gem. We were also confused with there regional names of the dish but the staff helped us out the figure out the best dishes from there menu. Things we tried -Prawns masala (recommended) -Roasted pork (recommended) -Appam (one of the best ever had in mumbai) -Chicken curry (recommended) -Malbari parota ( recommended) After all this we were so full that we couldn't try anything else so we ended our meal with the traditional Kerala dessert. -Parippu payasam (recommended) Overall it's a wonderful place to visit the staff is really helpful and on there toes to help you. We are definitely visiting this place to explore there rest of the menu.

Was a let down! Went with high expectations considering that this restaurant is part of Origami. Access : is a turn off to start with. You need to actually enter Origami and are then led to a very narrow passage that leads to a staircase to go to the first floor where the restaurant is. The access door had the door knob broken. Ambience : is dull. Seating couches worn out and nothing tasteful about the decor. Service : the one gentleman who manages the place doubles up to get your orders, clean tables, serve etc. At times you may have the kitchen staff coming out with the dishes and serving you. We also spotted the chef come out and access the pantry area which was very weird. The pantry area right by the dining tables. With just 25% occupancy on a Sunday during lunch time, the service was sluggish. Food : for the price, I don't think was value for money. Chicken 65 had 5 pieces of deep fried oily chicken with some curry leaves and appalam bits (INR 400). Chicken Mappas was tasty but with unappetizing huge pieces of chicken (INR 400). Ada Pradhaman was good (INR 250). Appam again - ordinary, cold not fluffy. Having had this ordinary experience, I am surprised with the extraordinary reviews posted on this page by others.
