Superb view point. Calm and you get a piece of mind. Not so crowded. Only one shop available near where they sell tea powder. Carry an umbrella because it'll be rainy sometimes. Some random forest officers, I don't know whether they are forests officers or not, they get Rs30/person to walk to view from road. Not much parking space for too many vehicles.

Attakatti view point located in between Valparai and Pollachi road . There is a small area consider as the view point,so people can stop their vehicles on the side of the road and come here for a spectacular view of mountains,sky and the Aliyar dam located the bottom of the mountains especially in the evening time Sometimes people can see wild goats here in the mountains with big horns and a lot of monkeys .

Wonderful view point of upper aliyar dam. You must get permission of highways department.

attakatti viewpoint is nice. But this place is not famous . People didn't know about this place. They missed the wonderful viewpoint. when last time i returned from valparai that time my friend showed me this. it just a walk of distance from attakatti stop.

Good view everyone should go and have bit of trekking experience. I congratulate forest department of tamilnadu for this good initiative. Our dams are not allowed for tourist beyond the gate. Learn from kerala. We are tamilnadu lacking behind from all other state in this regard. We need more simplified permission format for tourist to visit more places in valparai.

One of best places in and around Pollachi that everyone must visit, located on the way to Valparai. I still don't know why this place is still not popular. When you see the view point you will be stunned for sure. One of the amazing views which I saw in my life time.

Excellent view point but it's only view point in that area so if you're going in car / Seperate vehicle you can stop and spend some time here , Out of 2 view points one is closed permanently

This place is an heaven for bird lovers, i seen hornbill flying in the valley, Ruby throated bulbul, Asian Paradise Flycatcher, several other birds here, if you go with no sound, the chirping are the great melody...this trial consists a nice micro trek which leads back to the road... Great initiative
