The taste taste is not consistent nowadays. The place has good options in curries, and others have limited dishes to try. Service was quick, and ample parking space was available. The food was oily, and a few dishes were tasting different than what it was named. This place is a decent option for family visits as it won't be crowded, and getting a table is easy.

Very nice vegetarian food restaurant. Sat in the family section by the entrance. Very nice ambiance, due to the natural open wall seating surrounded by greenery on one side. The service was good and the steward was great Food was mild with very good taste and nothing too spicy . Lemon dry babycorn - Nice tangy taste with crisp bbycorn. Paneer tikka- excellent taste with well marinated paneer pieces Masala papad- right amount of spices and veggies Veg kadai and aloo matar- very nice and simple accompaniments for tandoor roti. Mild spice and good thick gravies Dal tadka wit rice- great combo ,even better with jeera rice Lemon soda- best juice, with the right amount of sugar ,salt was little less Food feels really savoury and delicious. Slightly on the expensive side,but great experience if you sit in the family section for dinner

Very good vegetarian restaurant in the hotel Jewel rock. Food quality, quantity and taste was very good. They have non ac, ac and outdoor dining area. Limited parking inside the hotel. Service was excellent. They have clean rest room. Prices are reasonable. One can visit with family and within Shimoga city. We had Soup, boiled vegetables and phulka, Dal. They gave onion salad as compliment

We went for dinner yesterday after seeing the reviews on Google. We chose to sit in the outdoor sitting and enjoy a relaxing meal. The meal was tasty and the wait staff were polite and accommodating. Since they were short staffed, they took time to serve each order. But the worst part was the amount of insects that kept flying on the table and on us. We couldn't enjoy the food since most of the time went in showing away the insects of the table and food. And few did land on my daughter's plate while she was eating. So she gave up on her food. We billed for 1200 rupees. Like I said food was tasty but the ambience killed the experience for us. Don't sit outside especially if you are going in the evening or dinner time.

Worst food I ever had in my life. service is too slow and bad

This is one of the iconic hotels in Shimoga from the past many years, I am really surprised how well it's still maintained till date. I would recommend the non AC section since the ambience is better, and would recommend the evening snacks or morning breakfast here. Bonda soup 5/5 Rava dosa 5/5 Medu vada 5/5 Ambience 5/5

A good place for food but questionable hygiene. I visited this place with a friend. It is an all vegetarian restaurant. We ordered veg Kasturi and Gobi manchurian dry for starters and it was absolutely delicious. They were both crispy and flavourful. You could feel the spiciness at the tip of your tongue and still enjoy the flavour. We also ordered the Biryani which was enchanted and bursting with spices and flavour. The rice was incredibly moist and fluffy. The curd rice was refreshing and delicious. However, the hygiene needs to improve as the sink is completely covered with filthy foot stains.

Had a good experience at the restaurant though there were some questionnable feedbacks earlier. Good atmosphere and food and service was also nice. Not an overcrowded place even on weekends.
