Having worked at PayPal, I would say Athena is not as good with respect to amenities, benefits, infrastructure, etc.. but better than PayPal in work culture which alone is a huge plus for me. Still, it all depends on the team in which you're going to work. I've seen other teams where this scenario would be nice versa. But both the companies are top notch. The only considerable, distinctive and vital advantage where PayPal scores by a mile is the recognition not only in India, but worldwide. Athena is extremely popular in US, but outside of it, people don't recognise. When I used to work at PayPal, I got multiple job interview calls without me applying to them from around the world, which is not the case now. Other than that, I think Athena would go head on head with PayPal in almost all other perspectives expect gym.

Good place for interview but you will be made to wait for a long time and one day only one round which is very bad. After attending several rounds of interview process, they will not inform you about your status and very poor to reply to our mail even after 1 month. Poor response and guys avoid attending interview there. Last thing you get is waiting for a long time.

Worked in Athena for 2 years... excellent ambience and spacious workstations... their culture statement is "Learn, Teach,Teamwork, Tenacity".. sounds cool, right?... would be great if it spreads across the entire organisation.. like any other company, they had to make crucial decisions which benefited some employees and affected some.. overall a good company and one of the few companies where you get to know the real meaning of work life balance..
