Atharanala Bridge - Bridge in Puri - Puri, India

This is a beautiful historical place. It shows the road to Shri Jagannath temple () Right side and Shri Gundicha temple (left side), History says this spot is the sangam sthala of no of different rivers. Now this place is decorated with beautiful lights and fountains . Well now public transport with heavy vehicles even bike are not allowed to use Athara nala bridge (the actual and old one) for safety purpose but you can walk on it with permission.

From atharanala bridge if you want to go Shri Jagannath Mandir u have to take right turn.. otherwise for bus stand u would have to take left turn..

A beautiful historical place. Now govt blocked the road due to the poor condition of the bridge.There is also a small garden and in the evening the view is osm for its lighting decoration. U can hangout with your friends in the evening there.This photo is clicked on 31st december 2020.

Atharnala Bridge is the one of the oldest bridge of Odisha and it was created by King of Odisha. Some history is there like in Bhagbat Geeta there is total 18 chapter and in Atharnala also there is total 18 tunnel. So, if you cross the bridge then you will get the blessings that you got by reading the Bhagbat Geeta.

It's the entry point to puri.Now days traffic are diverted because of security of the bridge. It's kind of old stone bridge so vehicles are not allowed
