Good place... You'll get everything here what you Need
A bus stand owned and managed by the transport department of Government of Assam. The place is very conjusted and most buses also don't enter here. As usual, government properties are not well maintained and dirty.
Get direct bus from here to Tezpur, Dhakuakhana, Dibrugarh. Majuli etc. There are no good facility in this busstand. A new ISBT is under construction few km away from here and will be operational after completed.

ASTC Buses from Lakhimpur to Tinsukia via Dhemaji and Dibrugarh is available every day.
ONCE, I HAD A ROUND TRIP TRAVEL FROM BANDERDEWA TO DIBRUGARH AND VICE- VERSA ON THE SAME DAY. The good thing about the trip was that Buses were available. Also the ticket fare were fair. Only thing that I didn't liked about traveling such lengthy distances by bus was delay in time. It took me 12 hours (approx.) !!
REASON: They had two major stoppage on my way i.e. Lakhimpur and Dhemaji. Where Buses stopped for half an hour on each stoppage waiting for passengers to fill all the seats.
My advice:
If possible, travel by train. It is way more cheaper. Also you'll reach on destination faster. Like I could travel from Harmuti train station to Dibrugarh in 3hours . Further, 50% less fare charges to than buses.

One of the worst and rude behaviour staff.today I was about to board the 7.30 bus to dibrugarh but the conductor of the bus was just like a goon he even tried to catch me by collar I was scared that I had to run for my life and I know the transport department will ignore my issue but it's a fact that how astc staff members treat their passenger
The staff is helpful at the counters. The conductors will try to put you on whichever bus is leaving, regardless of your destination! Buses available to dibrugarh, sibsagar, etc. Pathetic amenities
