I had a very bad experience from assam tourist agency.I booked a innova from guwahati from k d enterprise of mr krishnanu das with advance pay of 12000 rs. He confirmed by e mail . He sent driver and vehicle no also. I arrived from pune with my family to Guwahati airport and tried calling him. He didnt pick up the phone. From 5.30 am till 7.30 am i kept calling him which he never picked. His driver was at kaziranga that time and told me that he couldn't come to pick us up. We were shocked and at 8 am somehow arranged a second innova. Later mr das texed me that sorry the phone went on silent mode so he couldn't pick up my phone. He assured me that he will return the advance...after 15 days also he has not returned the advance. What should a tourist like me do in this case? Can a tourist car association do anything in this matter? Such incidents will spoil the image of assam and association!

Awsome Assam " as branded with Priyanka Chopra as Ambassador is yet to fulfil its promise of lifting the tourism scenario here. Involvement of locals , guides, panchayats, rural destinations, operators, police, hotels, cultural institutions is need of the hour. River tourism infrastructure is still bad, barring an Alfresco or a Charaidew. ATDC has a lot more to do to come to the level of Meghalaya Tourism, not to speak of Kerala.
