I completed my BBA degree from this university (2019-2022) and had a disappointing experience. Despite fulfilling all the necessary requirements, including submitting a Security Refund Form through the alumni portal, I still haven't received my security deposit back. The Accounts Department advised me to contact the Student Grievance Cell, but even after repeated attempts, they have shown complete disregard, even though I was ready to provide the application and bank account statement. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.

I had visited Assam Down Town University on 1st March, 2023 for taking my UGC NET exam. The campus is so beautiful with spacious rooms against the backdrop of a picturesque landscape. The teachers were truly helpful guiding everyone with out any frown on the face. What was most necessary is that the systems worked efficiently with workable hardwares, which is the basic prerequisite of any CBT exam. Another noteworthy aspect was that the teachers in charge of the examination halls ensured that no hustle bustle from outside could enter the examination halls. This enabled examinees to take up their exam in true peace of mind.

Excellent place to study and do various research activities with natural surrounding environment.

Went there for the annual job fair. Big campus which is well maintained and secured. The building can be confusing as it has underground floors also upto level (-3). I almost couldn't find my way out There is also a canteen and snacks store there which serves almost everything. We had chilly chicken combo with veg fried rice and veg noodles, but the chilly chicken didn't taste that good. Overall a gud experience in this hilly area!

1. Average Infrastructure, and campus environment not conducive, lots of machine and construction noises 24/7. Parking Issues. Tiny Footbridge and congested bypass foothpath for commuters. Campus gate remains closed throughout the day. One can leave only at specified time i,e either at 12PM (Lunch Break) and 3:30/ (After Class). Poor Hygiene ( smelly messy unclean washrooms without mirrors). Smelly ( mostly hostels septic tank) and unclean drainage along the campus road. Average sports facilities,( Paid Swimming Pool facilities, Free access 4 Badminton Court, Paid Gym, 1 Futsal Astro Turf, 1 medium size muddy/dusty football cum cricket field) . Limited place for recreation and quite studies. 2. Library limited access(should keep open to students till 8 / 9 PM) 3. Expensive Hostel ( comparison in terms of facilities and fee) 4. Costly PGs, average/monotonous food, poor hygiene in some PG, (single,double,triple shared room type) 5. Costly Rent( money sharks owner, not all but many) need to be good at negotiation. 6. Train noise 24/7, loud music mostly in the evening till late night from the street food/fast food stalls. 7. Noises from PGs, birthday celebration and party with music happens almost everyday till late night, disturbs sleep and studies. 8. Red Alert : Outskirts of Guwahati city, -Not a place for studious, career focused students -Not a place thrifty / lavish / standard / people, no cafes, no malls, no parlours, -Place suitable for easy go and easy come students, who just wants to waste time and chill around. 9. Just 1 Hotel/Paid Accomodation for visitors ( parents, friends ) in. the campus vincity.

North east leading university...One of the best university...The faculties are Nice Well Educated... nothing much to say about the university..you can ensure that the quality of the university is in Top in every field.. The only problem i am facing as a student of the university is that... Bohut upar hain yarrit is like you are climbing a hill although when you reach the university you can feel it... mehnat rang lata hain

6months in the college and must say the parking for students is pathetic, there's no proper parking place for students, students are literally struggling with the parking conditions, whereas the facilities have reserved spot for parking, feels like the facilities are having more facilities than students.The college lacks proper management, it's like coming to a government office every day, even SBI functions better than them.And the security guards need to be taught how to behave.They have hired a bunch of goons who doesn't even know how to behave with people.The college should look into these matters ASAP. And the ones who thinking of getting into this college i would suggest compare and look for better options.
