Asia! Asia! Asia! ... as the name suggests is a asian cuisine restaurant located in a very happening place of salt lake sector 5 in kolkata.. It is located on the 1st floor just above the Rang de basanti dhaba.. This restaurant is quite spacious with ample seating place for large number of people.. Both buffet and ala carte is available here.. The interior is quite well lit and nicely designed with various types of paints and colurful lights.. the decor would be loved by foodies doing reels and insta Now coming to the food, the menu is wide range of items on the asian cuisines. We choose to have the following: > Thai Chicken Satey > Chicken and Prawn Sui Mai > Nasi Goreng > Mojito Although the satey tasted okeyish, the sui mai was prepared quite good and nasi goreng was excellent with potion being enough for 2 persons. Mojito was made good as usual. Food preparation time is a bit on the slower side. Overall its a nice restaurant with variety of food items and lots of space to capture good photos
Best I've come across in a while. Momos are a must, they have got a unique flavour and finger licking taste. They keep arranging new eastern cuisine( Vietnamese festival was going on last month). Bummer, no buffet during weekends.
Chicken Katsu Uramaki, Rs. 325- 1/5. Little to no stuffing. Only the rice could be tasted. Way too small of a portion for the price. The only good thing about this was the pickled ginger served with the uramaki. Chicken Yakitori, Rs. 330- 5/5. The only saving grace of the entire meal. The chicken was juicy and succulent and the charred leeks lend a additional dimension to the dish. The glaze was just perfect. In fact, we ordered it twice, it was that good. Coffee Milk Boba Tea, Rs. 140- 3/5. Nothing special and way too sweet. Chilli Basil Chicken Bao, Rs. 295 (2 pieces)- 2/5. This was bland and under-seasoned. The glaze had neither the taste of basil or of chilli. Even adding the condiments on the table didn't help. The bao itself was soft and fluffy though. Tonkotsu Ramen, Rs. 565- 2/5. Any person who has the basic knowledge about ramen knows that tonkotsu ramen is supposed to have a milky and gelatinous broth as opposed to the muddy and watery broth that was served to me (see the attached photos for reference). Moreover, the ramen was also served without nori, the egg was boiled to death (how come a fancy place such as this cannot even boil their eggs to the right doneness?), and the pork was chewy and tough. Mochi Icecream, Rs. 165- 3/5. Tasted like regular icecream and the mochi layer outside was too thin. As a result, the characteristic chewiness of mochi was missing. The ambience here is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about its food. The staff were polite and courteous but not well acquainted with the menu. The service was slow as well. Also, they add a 4% service charge, which I think is fair, but one can ask to remove it. Overall, I don't think I'll be visiting again and I don't recommend this place to anyone either.
just not worth your money. every food is just bland in taste. Ramen expensive yet so tasteless. idk why Mochi ice cream is so hyped. , they didn't put enough dough to make it chewy. The sushi was premade it was not even fresh. the waiters are so confused! we ordered the Special ramen(pork) and Vietnamese pho (chicken). They first came with one bowl and said it's chicken. we could see it's pork they just won't agree. then after much discussion they finally enquired and corrected that indeed it was pork not chicken. They themselves don't know what they are serving. after all that they added extra service charges of Rs. 70! we asked to remove it they tried to persuade us to give it after much saying they finally Removed. what is this behaviour? The Ambience is nice no doubt but the service is pathetic. don't even think of getting a buffet here.
Place nicely decorated quite spacious. But the service was too slow, literally we had to push the staff for food. We ordered Chicken Yeakitori, chicken and prawn sui mai, teriyaki chicken sushi, Fiery mountain Ramen Bowl, mochi icecream, doriyaki, citrus sunshine , basil watermelon mule. Food was awesome
Food was really really good. Serves Kolkata street style Chinese with a touch of their own. Price is pretty reasonable and quantity is more than enough. Prior booking recommended if you are planning to visit on weekends.
The food was delicious. When we went there, at around 11pm, the place was quite empty so we didn't have any issues with service. The ambience of this restaurant is too good! In picture: Ponzu Dipped Salmon Roll Kathmandu Street Momo Baked Basque Cheesecake Mochi Ice Cream
So, to begin with the entrance is through a small gate beside the Dhaba under it and the restaurant is on the first floor. As far as the ambience is concerned, there is good feel to it and they have worked hard on making it look like one of those South Asian streets. Food here as far as the quantity provided by them is concerned is way too expensive as compared to other Asian outlets in the city. Also, they take way too long on a normal non-busy day to serve. So please make sure you have the patience when you visiting here and carry enough cash because a little more than your expectation you would have to spend to fill the stomach. Especially if you're ordering Ramens, be ready to wait for almost an hour. By the time we got it, we had lost all patience to click it's photo.

I was skeptical about trying sushi but decided to go with the veg version. And it turned out to be wonderful on the very 1st try. I became daring and had 3/5th portion of wasabi and now I trust the Korean people when they say they don't like wasabi.
