ASHOKAN ROCK EDICT - Historical landmark in Dhauli - Puri, India

Ashokan Rock Edict is one of least visited and unknown tourist destination. This is a Garden where Emperor Ashoka engraved his scripture on a Rock. There are many Rock Edict other than this one. The place is beautiful and quite because it is less popular. Mostly recommend for people likes Rock, Caves and Archeology.

Very nice place where you can see caves which are built by cutting the stones. It has historcal significance. Great Ashoka fought the Kaliganga war here.

Huge property. Very beautifully kept and maintained. Not at all crowded. No entry fee.

I loved the elephant shaped rock and the engravings on the rock are still intact. It is amazing to see how well these engravings are done. They are clear and well preserved. It is good that is locked in. The banyan tree makes this location even more beautiful and peaceful.

A historical place along with a well maintained park. Free entry.

Ancient scriptures you can see here feels like Egyptian were here to carve it out Note : this is a park and the structure is available at the entrance only , do not touch the scripted stone.
