It is a good place if you want to go just for a walk. Very large fields and some very good historical things, also there are many trees. There is also a temple in the middle of the whole ground. You have to buy tickets to enter.

It is situated at KOLUHA, Muzaffarpur district, near Vaishali. Very neat and clean place. well maintained by the government. Parking area is also there. Erected by the Emperor Ashoka during the 3rd century BCE, the Ashoka Pillar is an ancient monument with historical significance. The pillar is made of a single piece of red sandstone and features a bell-shaped capital, distinctive of Ashokan pillars. The inscriptions on the pillar indicate Ashoka's commitment to non-violence, tolerance, and the propagation of dharma (righteousness).

A Buddha tourist site. Not very extravagant. Its not a crowded place. Visitors from many countries can be seen praying in group tours inside the premise. There are souvenir shops outside the ruins' campus. The pillar is rebuilt and is not the original one. There is big grass lawn surrounding the site and ticket costs 25rs for Indian tourists. Cars can be parked outside for free on the road or at some cost below the shades of lichi trees.
