Nice place to visit. It's huge and peaceful roundabout though in peak hours it is full of traffic and tourists from all over. One can see city from height from Dhauli Stupa. Very nice view of the city from the peak. Worth visiting this place which is pride of Ashok who built it. Shops are there to buy nice art and craft work. Cucumber is very cheap over there.
I have been seeing Ashoka Pillar since my childhood days memory goes back to the early eighties of the twentieth century. It's been a landmark since many decades. Served as a big circle for these many decades. Also signifies and reminds us of our emblem.
