Ashok Vegetarian Restaurant - Vegetarian restaurant in Nainital - Nainital, India

Not worthy to spend time or money. The taste of food is bad plus zero service. We went there for lunch half of the items were not available and also we just went to this place thinking this is pure veg as we thought less options are there for vegetarians but just walk a bit more and there are lot of more options of vegetarian. Skip this place

In last 5 years I came to Nanital 3 times and each time I visited this Restaurant. This Restaurant is centrally located in Nanital. This time I visited in November 2021. I must say they need to work in taste and quality of food served. What I found wrong that this place need to be clean and hygiene. When we visited, we had to ask to clean our table, even after that they just did formality to clean table. We ordered Dosa and Janta Thali. Dosa, Sambhar & Coconut chutney were below average and Thali was average. I will advice Ashok Vegetarian Restaurant to please work on cleanliness and food quality. And Waiters were not wearing clean cloths, this is owner responsibility to provide them clean cloths or ask them to join duty in clean cloths. Owner of Restaurant is very humble and polite.

We had momos there. The Red Chutney ( which was made there using their self-grown chillies ) was absolutely delicious. It was extra spicy. The momos were very good as well. they don't do cabbage filling like we do here in Delhi, their *veg* momos are actually soya momos.

Affordable place to have a meal near Nainital lake. Just on the main road. They serve variety of stuff, from idli dosa to chhole bhature to maggi. Tea & coffee also available. Confectionery and general store also right inside this place. So a good option for a quick meal or to grab some water or other stuff.

We had breakfast here. Food was just ok. Prices of food items were not commensurate with quality expected and ambience of the place. Owner is only interested in making money and likes customers who vacates his table as early as possible. Since we kids with us and they took time in finishing breakfast, owner passed comments which were highly unwarranted. Place is strongly not recommended.

Food is good, but they don't know how to serve food with proper plates and spoons. Poor Staff. Delay in service. If you have enough time then go otherwise drop this option. It is near Naini Lake.

Centrally located. One of the best in terms of vegetarian food. Owner is friendly and humble. Overall fine.
