Location - Close to railway station although not in the hustle of main market. Safe location as its very close to BJP and Congress party state HQ. Room - 1st floor is all executive rooms, you would really not like to be on that floor due to absolute ignorance in the maintenance of that floor and all rooms. 2nd floor is comparatively better with all club rooms. The beds are all dual bed, joined in some rooms to create a king size bed. All necessary amenities included in the room. Bathrooms - Terrible terrible bathroom, not sure how such a hotel is getting away with such small bathrooms. The shower space in the bathroom is literally too small for an average size human to spread his arms and take a decent bath. It measures roughly 5ftx2.5ft, and one would struggle to stand let alone take a decent shower in that space. Food - Breakfast has decent quality, although staff at breakfast duty was not very pleasing and welcoming. Be careful with what you order for room service, most of the times the food will be served cold if ordered in room, avoid ordering meat as they serve frozen, possibly rotten meat. I ended up taking away a bad food poisoning from this place. Service and Management - Typical government employees knocking off their duties without a hint of a welcome smile on their faces. The hotel is meant for VIPs and politicians who know how to get things done with this staff. A regular joe would not like hospitality in this taste. The hotel also has a swimming pool and a dying garden, possibly to host parties.

Nice hotel, service and location, overall very good

One of the oldest and grandest hotels in Patna. Rooms are old but decent in size. It is run by the government so definitely keep your expectations in check. The food in the restaurant downstairs is pretty good. The staff is also courteous.

Nice hotel and banquet hall

This is one good place to stay in Patna as it's centrally located. However, be ready for the bureaucratic approach towards customers being a government run property. It may be beyond it's prime days but still quite clean and the rooms are well anointed. Could be better though.

First, the good bits. The location is excellent, close to the railway station and just a 15 minutes drive from the airport. Rooms are reasonably clean, there are quite a few TV channels and the food is good. The main problem is, the attitude of the staff manning the reception and guest services. If you can get one smile out of them, you should consider your day made. It is not that they will not meet your requirements, whether it be wifi, use of the business desk, etc. But they will do it so sternly that you will be confused whether you are asking for some illegal gratification ... Another area that will leave you sorely disappointed is the poor quality of toiletries, considering that the hotel claims to be a five-star property. The bathing space is tiny and whoever heard of a bucket and mug is a standard hotel these days? Also, the general tardiness of the common areas rankles. Overall, this hotel is definitely not worth the package they charge.

Decent place with all standard amenities, like: restaurant, conference room, banquet hall, swimming pool and an area to set up a stage to meet specific requirements. Been first time here on an occasion of marriage and felt really comfortable without any issue.
