Ashok Hotel - Tiffin center in Balangir - Balangir, India

Went for breakfast and it was my first hotel that I tried at Balangir. Tried Masala Dosa, well it was not up to mark. The chutney was a bit salty. When asked for samosa or bada , they directly said it's cold. The place is in a centre position near the government bus stand.

This is one of the legacy hotels that have been in balangir since 1963...it was there before the generation of noodles, fastfood and pizzas came to balangir... Ashok hotel is located near to Ramai talkies and has been serving delicious south indian tiffin items, samosa and sweets to folks of balangir...people love the special add ons (sambar , chutney etc) which they provide with main dishes...their sweets are talk of the town and still preferred for many occassions.. SPECIAL MENTION - RASAGOLA AND RABIDI they take bulk order based on availability, but you would have to contact and confirm.. Seating place is ideal from small groups...place is hygenic n neat...food quality is one of the most loved in town..

Quite a good place to have snacks and sweets here. Dosha, samosa, Rabdi are the charm of this place to have. (My opinion) Food is of excellent quality and taste and price is also quite good for the quality food they serve.

Used to be the best destination in town for breakfast and snacks. It seems it's getting hard for them to live up to their reputation, especially after the renovation. Having said that, it still remains one of the best food destinations in town as far as tiffin and sweets are concerned.I personally am a fan of their SITABHOG and RABDI. The best food experience?? Now that's debatable!!

The staff behaved very bad

Worst place ever visited. The staff were so neglecting...worst experience ever!!!!

Nice place to go for a quick bite. They have a great variety of sweets. Best place for sweet lovers.

Place is okay but if they serve the food with seeting style then it may be far better otherwise its okay far breakfast type item with sweet
