Managed by young heart and enthusiastic managers,ready on their toes to cater to guests needs. We stayed there 2 nights. They also arrange for live orchestra, music, magical show,camp fire,tents, arrangements for various games,cricket, archery. Amazing freshly served food 5 stars to that. Location is A1. Nature lover's must visit this place. Entire staff is very caring,attentive and helpful always. Need to improvise in room maintenance,hot water timings to be made available in evening also. All in all very good experience. Recommendable for families, friends,group stays, perfectly perfect. Thank you for the wonderful hospitability.

This hotel is located near Matheran hill station. Hotel prices are also reasonable. The food was so delicious and freshly cooked and served. Everyday menu was different for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was so yummy. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Service is good. It has some game activities and a swimming pool. It also has some swings to get relaxed. I would highly recommend you visit this beautiful place to hang out with friends or family. The rooms were clean. I stayed there for two days with my friends and the experience was unforgettable!

The place is very peaceful and calm. The rooms were clean and the food was best. The plus point is this Ashok Hotel is very close to matheran main market, all the matheran points are nearby. They have big swimming pool. Overall it was an amazing experience.

The room was okay. Bathroom was not clean. Room tarriff os not value for money. TV was not working. The price for unlimited veg meal is 300.

Hotel is located far from main railway station of Matheran. It takes approx. 15-20 minutes walking. It is good stay option for groups. However, not suitable for only females as at night the route to hotel becomes very deserted because most of tourist stays near railway station while this hotel falls on separate path altogether. There are not many sign boards to guide you and also the Paymaster park which needs to be crossed does not have any roadlights (atleast when we stayed there). It is close to some of view points in Matheran. Service was little disappointing as there are no phones inside room to call for room service. The wifi also did not work inside room where we stayed. Also there is no network availability of Airtel or Jio so you literally have to go to the reception every now and then to get anything done.

Had visited this place few days back. I would rate it 5/5 for the ambience. Food was very tasty actually it was much better than someone could expect in the veg side. They include variety of items in their meals. Its, bit far from market but its justified because they acquire a big area and you cannot have such big property right next to market. But as it is away from market crowd it does not fail to give you peace of mind. Overall I had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend my friends to book a stay with Ashok hotel whenever they plan a trip to Matheran.
