Rooms are good & caretakers are helping us. The owner interacts very well. I stayed here for nights. Enjoyed the stay. Had dinner on the nights. The taste was very good.
Extremely Good, Mr Kalpa Mani Das is a good host & his Team of Mr Sowmeshwar, Mr Tapan, Mr Gagan etc. The owner is also. Avoid the First Floor, prefer Rooms 1 to 5 on Second Floor.
The hotel is very comfortable and staff is very polite and nice. Specially Mr. Kalpa, the caretaker. But the only bad thing is the location, the road is quite tedious to get there. But it's all worth it. I loved the cleanliness, the affordable rate and the staff. I recommend it. Food is just like home cooked. I appreciate the cook also. And the cleaner's name i forgot. He was also good. We stayed in May 2022 for one week.
Good place and reasonably priced. The food being cooked by the in-house caretaker Kuldeep is delicious.
I have experienced this homestay for the first time and believe me,it's one of the best stay in Guwahati. I was not known about this homestay but one of my friend suggested me about this homestay and seriously I am telling hats off to him for this suggestion. Rooms are pretty good and more spacious having a balcony too. The foods they served that was also good ,not that much spicy and overall best experience staying here. I would recommend you to have a stay there once if you visit guwahati.
It is nice place to stay. food is also good but I think the price of food is high as compare to outside place and the bathroom of the room where I was stay was a bit dirty and water is also not clean as compared to other hotel. But the staff is very helpful and polite. Freely you can live there. I will give you 4star out 5. 1star minus because of dirty bathroom.
This is the second time I've stayed at one of Basab's homestays and this one was typical of what I've come to expect: warm and friendly North Eastern hospitality, comforting and delicious home cooked food with spacious and affordable rooms. We had a lovely stay. Our room was a twin room with balcony, small kitchen and large bathroom. The area was quiet. I'd like to give particular thanks to Kalpa who was such a hospitable and friendly host, it was great to hear more about Assam and where best to visit. Thanks again!
The room has not seen any cleaning whatsoever.... To all the guys who gave a 5 star rating .. why are there no pics ???
