Asansol Coffee House - Kothanjali - Coffee shop in Asansol - Paschim Bardhaman, India

Since I am a coffee lover, I love to visit cafes/coffee houses and spend some time there while sipping good coffee. When I came to know about "Asansol Coffee House", I was kind of excited to try this place out. But I was completely disappointed during my first which is also my last visit to this cafe. I was not at all expecting such kind of poor quality of food. First of all let me comment about the ambience. Extraordinary interior which is somewhat similar to the " New Town Coffee House" in Kolkata. The ceiling was decorated with lights and chandeliers. You can choose where to sit, whether on the ground floor or first floor (with balcony view) it is upto you. The tables, floors and everything was well maintained and completely neat & clean. But the entire Dining hall is NON-AC. So we kind of felt a bit uncomfortable considering the hot and humid weather. Now the service. Unlike in other cafes here table service is not available. You have to first order at the counter and then they will serve you at the dining table. This is a demerit considering the huge dining space. It will be quite irritating for customers to order again while standing in a queue near the counter. Finally I will explain the food quality. HORRIBLE. We ordered Chicken sandwich, fish cutlet and cold coffee. Fish cutlet was not fresh. This I can say from its taste and smell. It had a old frozen smell to it. As if the fish has been kept for many days in the refrigerator. Sandwich was not at all Satisfactory. It was like they have put chicken curry in-between the breads. The only thing I liked is the cold coffee and the vibe of the coffee house.

Very beautiful place . Food quality is good though a bit higher. The ambience is also good.

My experience at Asansol Coffee house was just an average. *Food quality was not upto the mark according to price level *Staffs are not working professionally *Ambience was nice and eye-catching too I think they needs to improve their food quality

Worst experience ever. Yesterday 22/12/2022 we went to coffee house for get to gather with school friends.Out side of coffee house they have written "OPEN 12P.M. to 9P.M. When we entered , there was a party going on and they said they didn't get time to notify other customers that they have given the coffee house for rent by writing note outside.Even they said they didn't have any idea about the exact time when they would welcome the other customers .As a result many of our friends were in coffee house and some of them went to other place and our whole program of get together went to vain. I think Coffee house can't do that legally as they only got permission for coffee house not for party house.I am giving some of the yesterday's photos.Hope it will help other.

Very nice place to chill with girlfriend and friends . Food quality is very delicious and the interior designing is fully wooden furnished .The receptionist were very humble in nature they fully explain every food item briefly specially the chef's favorite ones.I loved visiting regularly to this cafeteria . While chilling they play so wonderful light music . . .

Nice place only for time spend, Food quality nd taste was average Entrance is free for all,,Overall it's a one time place for visit, and since it is in the prime most location in Asansol, expect a better quality of food next time. Location is good, the ambience is okay...but the food here is pathetic, and deteriorating each day. Since the time they have opened, the spacial coffee quality has gradually decreased. Earlier, it was served in clay cups, now it's in glass cup..The chicken pakoda is full of salt and didn't taste good atall. Overall it's a one time place for visit, and since it is in the prime most location in Asansol, expect a better quality of food next time.

A perfect place to spend quality time with your friends and family. Coffee is the perfect mood changer with chicken pakora.Highly recommended.Beautiful experience.
