Aryan Valley View Cottage - Hotel in Matheran - Raigad, India

Very good service. I intended to check in at evening. I received frequent reminders from hotel boy to give them approx checkin time so that they can arrange the room. Also when we reached the market, the guy came to road and guided to room which is just walkable distance away from Matheran station. The room was clean and tidy with blankets nd towel. Moreover they provided hot water without even asking for it.

Staff service was good. But the Cottage was not up-to the mark. Wi-fi was not connecting from inside the room. Bathroom was not clean and has no latch on the door. No regulator to decrease the fan speed. Towel and Bedsheet were dirty. Location was near to market area.

Rooms are not clean as well poor quality bathroom and felt dirty smelling . Yes staff mr praveen are very helpful. I was very upset that I took the bad experience when we reached the cottage. It is totally change what they shown us into the pics. Bathroom leaking and hard dirty smell that you cant stay once a second. Im gonna give star for this cottage only 1 due to i didn't get what I/want. Poor quality maintained cottage.

The room was not clean. We stayed for 2 days but there was no service provided. Not worth staying. there are many other options in matheran. The photos uploaded are not really the way the rooms will be. the bedsheets were torn. too much dust in the room. no remote for A.C. also the room which was provided to us had no wifi. we had to go to a different area to use wifi. as there is no network there wifi is quite essential. the only good thing was Mr. Ramdas called us and send his person to matheran station to help us with the way to the hotel.

List is very long will cover only the important main points 1. I agree that it's a budget hotel but I accept atleast full safety as the balcony is being shared with adjacent rooms and the French window lock is broken any one can enter the room when u are sleeping 2. Room is infested with fungus all over the wall and beds 3. Dirty water in bathroom and basin . Will give u colitis or hepatitis. 4. Room service is the worst there is no service actually. 5. Family avoid going only good for unmarried couples who don't wait in night.

My experience was very bad staying in this hotel. Location of Hotel is very bad. You can't find this hotel in Matheran. Its like a chawl at valley side. No name/ display board of hotel on the stand alone building. Don't ever book this hotel online. They charged me 2000 Rs per room but its cost should be 300-500 as per the ambiance and location. I met with care taker of hotel "Noman" and I told him that this hotel doesn't deserve 2000 Rs per room. Never book this hotel. You can find better than this any time. I don't know how guys are giving 4/5 star to this hotel. I think they might be fake. The only thing which I like was the valley view from Balcony and that's why I am giving 1 star else I would rate it in -ve if possible.

Not at all a VFM deal! The charges are absurd for such an untidy and shady place (even on a weekday). Despite subscribing to the absurdity don't except that you will get any complimentary basic room amenities not even packaged water, soap, paste, glasses, chairs etc. They don't give receipts and bills also (full illegal business). I think this probably could be the scenario across Matheran and they just want to exploit desperate couples, families & tourists and just skim n milch. This place could be aptly branded as a shady spot. We paid so much but this place is not even worth 500 bucks. Matheran as an eco-sensitive & trekker friendly place it's going to the dogs. 2 stars for good sunrise view post-monsoons during winters.

amazing view from Valley side and cheapest room in Matheran, nice service by staff. This is the average hotel, so don't keep high expectation like 5 stars service. Usually they take care of our needs.
