Nice spot to spend time with family and friends. But the rides for the kids in the park are pathetic. That need to be improved. You can feed the fish and pigeons on water flowing from the dam.

Nice place to spend time with family or friends. Not advisable for a day trip, but for evening visit it is okay and you can spend probably an hours if with friends and like 1--2 hours if you are with kids. Very nice to see the fishes in dam, it is open always for free and you can feed them peas and popcorn are their favourites. Pros: ~ No entry fees. ~ Calm atmosphere. ~ Kids will love this place. ~ You can feed the fishes in dam. ~ Ample space for parking. ~ No parking fees. ~ Petty shops nearby you can buy Popcorn, tea or snacks here. ~ Not crowded. Cons: ~ Park needs renovation. ~ Some of the lights needs to be replaced. ~ Some items in the park are broken.

Good place for spending evening for family with kids. Though the play items needs maintenance, we can manage to get kids happy without heavy rush . There are snack bar and icepalour. But it is advisable to buy food items from your neighborhood stores and go there

It's one of my favourite place for weekend along with family,Aruvikkara Dam is a beautiful dam constructed over Karamana River.There is a small park laid out with an artificial waterfall. It is dangerous to take a bath in the dam because of the innumerable rocks that have huge curve-ins.

Poorly maintained. Good location and view. Adequate parking lot. Near the city. Not safe at night. Lighting needs lot of improvement. If properly looked after much more people will visit.

A good place for a one day trip, they have a boat ride safari which is quite pleasing. The boats are average maintained. The government guest house is typical , nothing great, but comfortable and staff are ok. The view is great near the Dam . can see the open prison. The lion safary is good, but they do charge a bit high for the entrance fees. The crocodile sanctuary is interesting to visit. They have the Indian mugger crocodiles . Make sure to reach there in the morning before 10 am so you can get all the tickets, or if you are late then all counters close (it's a government institution).

The park was not functional. Except rainy seasons, there is nothing to see here.
