5 Star for the temple and ambience. As others mentioned. But the management staff is way too arrogant, they just yell at you and treat you ill forgetting the fact, you travelled hundreds of kilometres to have a divine bliss. They just spoil the serenity in a moment yelling at you, not communicating properly, not telling you directions when asked and ready to quarell Priests are very greedy. They offer vibuthi in packets only if you drop big notes in harathi plate. I was really disappointed with priests greed, they got such a fortune of being in the sanctum . When you put 50 or 100 in plate, they recieve you differently. At a temple of that stature priests have to be well behaved as in tirupati. I remember an old priest has pushed my spouse away very angrily, just for asking an pinch of vibuthi more and scolded us tamil during one of our visit. Same person was smiling when another devotee offered a note, he handed over 2 special packets of vibuthi. He could have softly refused when asked , but I could see the frustration in his face as he missed an opportunity to earn money. It is better if the management sells vibuthi packets directly in counters as they already selling tamarind rice, pongal and other prasad, instead of taking from priest. This will give pleasant darshan experience to devotee and prevents unnesccary emotions to both devotee and priest. Both can focus on god, leaving their ahankara atleast in the sanctum in front of lord arunachaleswara.... Most temples in Andhra have boards mentioning to Drop your offerings in hundi only. This simple change can improve devotee experience about temple, spirituality, and culture Arunchala siva.

Huge temple and not so crowded. It was blissful to visit the temple on a Deepavali evening when it was even more beautiful with decorated lights

Your visit to Thiuvanamalai may have been mainly to visit this temple. Magnificent architecture and this is one of the largest temples dedicated to lord Shiva in the world. I suggest those planning to visit in the morning can go to the temple at around 6 am , because we went at 4.30 am and had to stand in the queue for more than 1 hour outside the temple, as a lot of overnight crowd gets accumulated and there is rush when the temple opens at 5:30 am but some of my friends who came later at 6 Am could complete the Darshan 7 am itself.

Very poor communication people , greedy and not cooperative . However the temple premises are very beautiful and lovely, thanks to the Cholas who built it . It is totally white stone temple , just amazing
