Oldest and best ice cream parlour with multiple option to choose ice cream with juice combos.. Their speciality is cold water Whenever you entered and wait for your order. They serve you mineralized chill water.. nowadays cost increased but the taste remains same.. Lemon juice taste changed. Rest are okay.. The only concern is rate has to be reduced.. otherwise all well..
One of the old and famous shop in mayiladuthurai. I tried lot of varieties of juice with ice cream that all are good. But last time I tried the chocolate ice-cream. That was not good in taste. Need to improve that.
Nostalgic place. Good chunk of icecream for the price. It is little bit sweet me. But enjoyed it with a gulp of ice apple juice. They also have shakes and juice + Ice cream combination. If you are in the vicinity, try this place for desert. You won't regret it. Location on one way street with no parking might be issue for some but hey this place is walkable from city center and near both bus stands.
Happy to see that Aruna Ice Factory, with even the old type Tamil letter (na) unchanged, going strong. Reminds me of the 3 paise colored kuchchi ice/5 paise kuchchi pal ice I had tasted in this shop between 1967 and 1970!!! Happy to see the images!! No throat infection/fever/cold those days...We ate freely the kuchchi ice...dont recollect cup icecream as it was too costly and beyond our budget (may be 10 paise!!).....
A bit expensive when compared to older days but still one of the best ice cream shops in Mayilai. Their signature "Mixed Fruits Ice cream" is heavenly, a must try item if you were to visit this place.
