Beautiful ancient temple well known for granite sculptures, mainly on the pillars of main corridor to the sanctum. Sculptures of Manamathan, Rathi, Kuravan and Kurathi are full of minute details and breathtaking in artistic excellence. No one inside when we visited around 7 am.(infact the temple was opened by security staff on seeing us). Serene and divine Shri Venkatachalpathy is the main Moolavar.
