One of the oldest temple in the town with full of history and legends. The temple complex is maintained well by the temple authorities and each corner of the temple is being kept clean, the authorities are constantly cleaning even tiny bits of litters. The temple walls are covered with beautiful paintings depicting various stories of Lord Vishnu. One of the main feature of the temple is the statue of Lord Narasimha which has been placed behind the statue of Sudharshanar. Visit this place during the Athyayana Uthsavam and Brahmotsavam celebration. Athyayana Uthsavam festival will be celebrated for 21 days prior to Vaigunda Ekadesi. The Brahmotsavam festival will be celebrated for 10 days from mid April to mid May. The temple has a beautiful temple car made of teak wood, which is 32 feet tall and has 350 wood carvings.
Shri Veeraragava Perumal temple (Utchavar Shri Varadharaja Perumal) is about 500 mts South of Trinelveli junction, on the eastern side of railway line. The temple is apparently very old as this part of the town was known as Veeraragava Nallur long back. The Utchavar Shri Varadharaja Perumal with Shridevi, Bhoodevi and Shri Andal Nachiaar. There is a beautiful and serene Shri Hanuman on the northern side.
