First and foremost, the temple's architecture is awe-inspiring. As you approach the entrance, you are greeted by the majestic Gopuram (tower), adorned with intricate sculptures and vibrant colors. The temple complex itself is sprawling and beautifully maintained, with numerous halls, shrines, and courtyards that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the rich spiritual ambiance. . The main deity, Lord Murugan, is enshrined in the inner sanctum of the temple. The idol exudes a powerful presence, with its resplendent form and divine energy . OM MURUGA
Everyone knows this down temple. But near 500 meter in a hill a shiva temple is there. There a small sunai [water stream] a big fish [matchamuni] fed by people. About 900 steps to climb up to the temple. Ohm Namashiviya
This is one of the 6 Arupadi temple. No proper place for car parking. Even it's free for chappel stand, staff is expecting some amount for chappel stand. Inside temple there are 2 separate queues, one queue for 50rs paid queue and another one is free. Near main god the crowd is mixed and no staff is there to maintain the queue. Near outside lot of water and it's too slippery. Outside temple lot of hotel are there. We tried breakfast in Komathi villas, Very reasonable price and taste is too good. Must try.
Temple is really neat and clean. You will get the divine feel here. Amazing place to visit
A very nice and calm place to visit. I really like this temple, I would highly recommend to stay for some time in this temple atleast 30 to 50 mins.
No crowd on Sunday morning We use the free dharshan queue, which takes 15 minutes to complete; however, on busy days and on any special occasions, you must purchase a 100 rupee ticket for speed dharshan. Parking is not a problem because the surrounding area of the temple has numerous parking lots. Anywhere outside, we park two-wheelers.
This temple, known as the first among the six abodes of Lord Murugan in Tamil Nadu, holds historical significance as the place where he married Deivanai. The deity's statue is intricately carved from rock and is a focal point of worship. There are multiple bus options available from Periyar and Arapalayam to Tirumangalam for easy access. The temple's architecture is truly remarkable. As you approach the entrance, you'll be welcomed by the grand Gopuram (tower) adorned with intricate sculptures and vibrant colors. The sprawling temple complex is meticulously maintained, featuring various halls, shrines, and courtyards that allow visitors to fully immerse themselves in the spiritual atmosphere. The main deity, Lord Murugan, resides in the inner sanctum, emitting a strong presence through its resplendent form and divine energy. Sunday mornings offer a less crowded experience. We opted for the free darshan queue, which took about 15 minutes to complete. However, during peak days or special occasions, a 100 rupee ticket for speed darshan might be necessary. Parking is convenient as there are numerous parking lots around the temple. For two-wheelers, we found ample parking space just outside the temple premises.
One among the six padai veedu of Lord Murugan. This is the first one among the six. Must visit for all religious Hindus.
