A beautiful Cave temple for Murugan. These town name itself tell that God Valli's place. Near this area related to Murgan Valli are Nambiyan vilai, Nambi koil, Nambi river.... Arunagiri nather sing poem on this Murugan. Very very old temple. Temple have one pond for theppam and another big one for people use. Many people round these hill with temple as like Thiruvannamalai.
A beautiful temple, where Lord Murugan stayed with Goddesses Valli in the cave. The temple was built from the cave . Still they are maintaining the tradition. This is the only temple for Lord Murugan and Goddess Valli . This place was called as Alliyur in 9th century. This temple has a great history. This temple is apt for GIRIVALAM , that's is coming around the hill.
