A very powerful temple situated in Arumbakkam. The temple is on the right side of the road when you go from Koyambedu junction towards central / kilpauk direction. The traffic during peak hours is huge and this stretch of the road gets congested easily. There isn't a lot of parking spaces near by. Thee medhi / fire walking festival in this temple is a major and gala one. The temple would be thronged by devotees like anything. That shows how powerful and popular the Amman (devi) here is. During the festival, a lot of small shops are set up near the temple, selling a variety of things. It's literally a thiruvizha and gala time that shouldn't be missed. It gives an opportunity to witness village atmosphere like sandhai (market). During the entire festival time, the surrounding streets of the temple are closed partially for vehicle movement.
A unique temple with amman deity are available in a single temple with their own space. A different experience in Temple visit. Here you have to climb the gopuram to see the Lakshmi's. The few Lakshmi's are situated in first level of gopuram coupe at second level viewing the beach. The temple is near to koyambedu. Krishnan and perumal deity's are also available. The temple has sufficient car and bike parking space. A couple of shops are available next to the temple where you can get the pooja items like flower, coconut, ghee, camphor etc.
Location of this temple is easily accessible by bus and auto.The deity here is very powerful and is the Grama devathai of that places.People from nearby places visit this temple and Tuesday and Friday.It is a peaceful place.
