Arulmigu Sri Mayakoothar Temple (nava tirupathi # 6) - Hindu temple in Perungulam - Tuticorin, India

It's one of nava thirupati temple in thirunelveli district.village name as Perunkulam. This temple is going to be celebrated Maha kumbabishekam on first week of February 2023.during my visit renovation work are in progress.This temple opening in evening time is at 4.30pm. Approximate 8km from thiruppulinkudi. My scheduled program in afternoon trip,so first visited to Natham Sri Vijayasanar (1-5pm)2) thiruppulinkudi Sri Kaichina venthan, (1-5pm) then switch over to Rettai thirupati at Tholaivillimangalam ( 1-5pm) After this can come back to this Sri Maayakoothar temple.Most of the temple vidhaan height is 10 feet,but wider in breath. Peaceful prayer is possible on all 9 temple No external noice since in village side constructed.

The Maayakoothan temple at Thirukulanthai is about 10 kms east of SriVaikuntam. Legend has it that Vishnu went on his Garuda Vaahan to rescue Goddess Lakshmi from an Asura. Hence, one finds Garuda as the Utsav deity here. In the battle that ensued, Vishnu is said to have performed his victory dance standing on Asura's body and hence the name 'MaayaKoothan'.

One of the Navathirupathi Temples Vishnu is worshipped as Maayakoothan/Sreenivasan and his consorts Lakshmi as Alamelmanga and Kulandaivalli. Offering prayer at this temple is equivalent to offering prayer to celestial body Saturn(Sani)

ADMINISTRATION SHOULD MAINTAIN THE CLEANLINESS.AND UNAUTHORISED PERSONS ARE DOING SALES INSIDE THE PRIMISES AND SERVING EXPIRED FOOD, ESPECIALLY AN OLD,RUDE LADY SELLING EXPIRED BUTTERMILK AS IF LIKE PRASADHAM FROM THE TEMPLE AND COLLECTING MONEY FROM DEVOTEES WHICH SHOULD BE CONDEMNED AND PUNISHED CAZ OF CHILDERN AND ELDERLY PERSONS ARE" SERIOUSLY"GETTING AFFECTED BY STOMACH UPSET,WITH DIARRHOEA AND VOMITING..TAKE CARE DEVOTEES..
