This temple is the landmark for this place and one of the best temples in Aruppukkottai. When I studied, I used to get down this stop from my route bus. But this is the first time I visited this temple. I surprised with the space and the way they built the temple and also the maintenance. Everything is great, though it's located on the busiest road - we can feel the calmness inside the temple. There is a small pond in front of the main entrance, and it is beautifully designed. We can see couple of Vinayaga statues near to this pond.
Marble vinayagar at entrance tepakulam .A temple with more peace and devotional all goddess are in this temple. Special one is the big pillayar inside the temple ,while entering the main pragaram we feel the vibration and it gives positive energy that heels our soul and give calm to our mind .All devotional functions are happening here .Those who are going to sabarimala doing all poojas and they starting their journey from this temple. Ragu kala pooja for bairavar and durga is a special one huge crowd on all tuesday,friday and sundays .And thursday for Dhasiknamoorthy . Pradhosam is most important function here more devotional ppl visits here on that day offering god with milk ,tender coconut,santhanam,fruits and sweets for abisegam everyone must see the Pooja on that day ....

Very big neat temples with rare statues of god's.Sivan and perumal both r here .A big gopuram beautiful pond and rare lingams r here .The temple timings is 5a.m to 12 p.m. and 4p.m.to 8p.m. situated in madurai aruppukottai main road.Very tasty food is given by noon to all.Big Hanuman attracts all.A Temple to b visited by all

Sivan Kovil is situated in the heart of Aruppukottai town. It's an ancient temple. Seperate sannathis are available for lord Sivan, Ambal, Ayyappan and Lord Venkateshwarar. Three Entrances are available. Vinayagar, White marble Vinayagar with a water pond is available. Festivals and Prathosam Pooja's are conducted with public contributions. Seperate Mandapam with various vahanams are provided. More vacant place is available so you can Dharsan all lords with peace of mind. Very nice temple.
