The Arthuna Temple is a captivating historical site that offers a glimpse into India's rich heritage and ancient architecture. My recent visit to this 12th-century temple complex revealed a treasure trove of religious and historical significance. The temple complex is a testament to the devotion and craftsmanship of the people of that era. The numerous Shiva temples within this site are a testament to the deep-rooted spiritual culture of Sanatan Dharma. It's disheartening to observe that the Archaeology Department has not adequately maintained the site, as evident from the dirt and neglect. However, amidst this neglect, the temple's architectural beauty and the intricate carvings on the artefacts shine through, showcasing the remarkable skills of the artisans from centuries ago. The natural surroundings add to the charm of this place, providing a serene and tranquil atmosphere that captivates the mind. The temple's historical significance, coupled with the surrounding natural beauty, makes it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and spiritual seekers alike. The legend of the king who vowed to build a temple every day, resulting in the discovery of many temples during excavations, adds a fascinating layer to the temple's history. In conclusion, the Arthuna Temple is a place where the history of Sanatan Dharma unfolds through its ancient architecture and spiritual significance. While it's important to cherish this historical treasure, I echo your sentiment in urging the government to take definitive steps to maintain and preserve this remarkable place for future generations.

Arthuna was built in 11 -12 century by Parampara dynasty kings. It has spread on vast area of 3 sq KM. Temple complex mainly of Shivaits and Jainism. However we could find few Jain temples. Temple are in ruin except few Shiv temple where Poona goes on. THough the script says there is 64 yogini temple I could not found out the same. ASI is restoring the most of the temple complex. It need to be protected One can find cultivation going on around the complex even it is protected.

The district of Arthuna serves as a living lesson in history through the ruins of numerous Hindu and Jain temples in the area, providing a peak into the 11th-15th centuries. Some beautiful artwork emerges even from remnants of these temples, such as the statue depicting Shiva, Parvati and Ganesh; in a intertwined position. One of the Shaivite temple in a village around Arthuna has the Nandi Bull, the vehicle for Lord Shiva, carved at the entrance, as if guarding it from intruders. Similarly, there are many Jain temples, making Arthuna a holy place to visit to satisfy all your spiritual needs.
