Mr Kuldeep Kothari sir has been a good host. He arranged Rajasthani lunch for us. It showcased rich heritage culture of the people of desert from the land of maharajas. The Rajasthani folk song, arts and music. Need support from people and tourist for maintaining the place. A must go for nature and environment lovers.

Location and concept gets 5 stars. But, its not fair for me to rate it as I visited in August when it was semi-shut down and repairs were being carried out. Hope to visit again in winters when it's up and running.

Good Place to visit in Good Weather. The museum is a small one. It has 3-4 rooms. The nice thing about the place is that it is quite and has a small trek type walkway leading upto the pond. We went there on 12 August 2023 and we spent like 2-3 hours roaming around and relaxing at the place.

The guide was so sweet and gave us such a detailed history of the artefacts. The place is so raw and authentic that i could've spent the whole day there! You can take your picnic basket with you too!! They have a proper covered setting for eating as well! p.s. if you want, ask the people working there to show you the spot which overlooks a small pond hidden between the hills . That was my favourite spot!

Awesome place to learn about local music culture and interesting facts about brooms. Great environment and large open areas with an abundance of peacocks and cacti. Wonderful experience, friendly people and tonnes of fresh air, especially if you visit on the right day.

Created with a lot of traditional looks and values, the museum is worth visiting if you are a geek for cultures of places. It has a look of how the traditional huts in the older times used to be in Rajasthan. They have different sections where they tell you about few of the things that were deeply rooted in the culture around the city but has been the verge of extinction since long. A lot of photos taken in the remote areas of countryside show how the things kept their were a part of the culture thus shown. Varying from musical instruments to puppets to kitchen ware and brooms, they have it covered. The visit is small and Rajasthan Patrika, the creators, can expand it bit more. But all in all, worth a visit. You can even get a look of Arna Jharna that is right behind this property.

Beautiful place in admist of nature. You can enjoy and learn about rich Rajasthani culture. Place is covered with rich flora and fauna. Best time to visit is during monsoon season as you could enjoy seasonal waterfall which is available during rainfall only. Avoid visit during May June season as it's scorching heat.

The desert museum Arna Jharna is the result of one man's i.e. Komal Kothari's passion. The museum, almost 20 kms outside Jodhpur city on Pokhran-Jaisalmer road, has interesting collections like phad paintings, kavad, brooms collected from all over Rajasthan, rare and almost forgotten musical instruments like Sindhi sarangi, Tamak, kamaicha etc used by folk artists. These collections are housed in different cottages made of mud and thatched roofs. Must visit destination for anyone interested in exploring cultural side of the desert State. The museum is in dire need of funding. My tip: do watch a short documentary on the life and work of Komal Kothari at the end of your visit (7 minutes)
