Arkavathi Reservior - Tourist attraction in Kanpura Rural, Kunoor - , India

It's an amazing dam guys, well maintained and around 25kms from kanakpura town. Reservoir is pretty huge and clear water as well. No entry fee as such. Roads are pretty good, last bits are small roads. Dam gates were technically closed but the floor of the water way was filled with algae.

Beautiful location to spend a weekend morning. The catchment side of the dam is beautiful, and scenic. The bikes were not allowed to enter the dam but we can walk over. You can plan a trip to Sangam also after a visit to the dam. The entire stretch through the rural road is an experience.

A serene place ...approx. 60-70kms from Bg'lore. A perfect place to enjoy sunrise/sunset...if you are planning to go there, do not forget to carry some snacks/water with you.

Beautiful place to spend some time relaxing in nature. Very big dam infact. Very scenic and beautiful views. Since it's off season, less water as of now and gates are not opened. The catchment area though has the water, is covered with aquatic plants and leaves hence cannot notice the water. It would be fantastic in rainy season. The entry gates would be mostly locked and you can find small open area to enter. One guard is stationed there and he didnt restrict the entry onto the dam.

The place is awesome. Good place to shoot pics. Drone shots would be much better.
