Arera Bangiya Durgotsav is held in Arera Colony and is one of the oldest durga puja of the probasi bongs in the city of lakes-bhopal. The puja is held every year from Sashti (6th day) to Dashmi (10th day). The puja is conducted following all the rules and necessary regulations and 3-4rounds of Puspanjali is conducted everyday followed by prasad distribution, cultural activities and Bhog eating. Evening there is food carnival - Anand Mela full of food stalls-veg and nonveg food and cultural activities. Though the Durga Puja is open for all members Best is to become members and enjoy the benefits and contribute some donation for the welfare of the community and for the Durgotsav

This Durga Pooja is a very well organized . The Pooja is very important here which is done very peaceful and sytamatically. The main attraction is the Bhog which is served on Saptami Maha Astami and Navami.
This Pooja, earlier known as the Old Campion Poojo, was constrained to relocate due to the restrictions put in on the erstwhile location. Keeping up with the traditions this Poojo keeps the Bengali community strung together.
