We went to taj deccan for lunch only. We wanted to try spice junxion but it was under renovation and expansion. We were served in another of their space named SYN. The food was delicious. Would like to try spice junxion when ready.
I used to visit here as a kid, I'm very disappointed with what Taj has become lately throughout Hyderabad, no cleanliness, dirty bottles, dirty plates, no maintenance, tasteless food.
I had lamb chops this morning and first the meat was undercooked and later when I spoke to the chef to get it corrected, he helped but the flavour was still disappointing, this is why all the other brands such as Marriott group and ITC is cherishing in Hyderabad, Taj needs a rejuvenation.
Went on Sunday September 24, 2023 for Buffet Lunch (brunch) with my guests from Maharashtra. The food choice abd spread was great. Specifically my guests wanted to taste Andhra food. The Andhra chicken curry, Chepala pulusu (Fish) according to them was very good. The spread of desserts, the live counters offered were great.

I've been visiting Arena at Taj Deccan (then Taj Residency) since about 20 years now. It's one of the finest places in town for a leisurely buffet. Of course, you have an a la carte menu too, but I like this place for their buffet spread. The ambience of this restaurant is expansive, and relaxing. I have always liked their selection of menu any day I walk in. The taste, the quality and the variety makes me want to come here time and again.
Their Sunday brunch is highly recommended. However, during our recent most visit to Arena on a weekday buffet dinner, weren't very impressed with the selection of dishes on the menu. Hoping it to be a one off issue. At the same time I would like to point out that Arena is one of the very few 5 restaurants which has not lost its charm after the pandemic. They have maintained the same high level of hygiene, delightful customer service and rich interiors. Kudos to them for this. I want to make a special mention of the Banquet Manager M Bhupal Reddy, who took utmost care of us. His kind of hospitality is rarely found nowadays. He is very forthcoming and courteous. Kudos to him for that!
First meal at any new city marks a strong impression on overall trip.
I am glad my first meal (Lunch Buffet) was at Arena - Taj Deccan, the hotel I was staying in.
They had a good spread of food finely lit from light on top. The spread favoured vegetarians more in contrast to other buffets which favour non vegetarians.
K. Raghu Ramulu the restaurant manager was quick to understand that we are from other city and our requirements and needs were taken care of at very short intervals.
Their Thai Curry, masala tandoori fish, Beetroot Tohran, is a must-try and in sweet dish Malpua was best.
The best part, they had Desi Ghee and few exclusive masala in buffet spread (pic attached)
A special attraction was the Irani chai, which is thick milk with hard boiled tea.. can't tell much because I had South Indian coffee which was strong enough to refresh.
I would have definitely visited this place often if it was in Delhi.

I liked the ambiance, food, service and everything about it. Food isn't that bad as mentioned by some people here. There is good variety for even vegetarians. Ambiance is excellent. There is fish pond in the middle of the restaurant which kids will love.
Loved the ambience! The spread was great service is amazing food was ok as it kind of lacked the taste and the spice. I loved the salads and the desserts of course, soups are great and that detox water was nice. There is an offer on dineout where there is 1 + 1 buffet offer. A very classy place. And it was arranged in the open area in between of the hotel. I would recommend this to you with bunch of friends or you could go there alone and have a peaceful time.

This is our favorite place to have breakfast. If you want to have authentic dosa and idli, this is the right place. The chutney is neither spicy nor soft but rightly matches with idli and dosa. They offer solid chutney in addition to the liquid chutn
Try the authentic masala dosa at Bhanu Sri tiffin center. Food is authentic and mouthwatering.
The speciality is after having so much stuff loaded on to dosa , still dosa is crunchy.
Best place for Idly, dosa, Upma and Poori. Taste was really excellent and good ambience. Especially the taste of the tea was fantastic. Tea will be addicted if you once taste it.
It's healthy food and the cost is very reasonable. Idli is prepared with brown rice and the chutney is totally with ground nuts. I can say it is very costly food and can be enjoyed with very cheap price...

Dosa was very tasty. You can buy 1 piece of Bonda, Idli or poori. Only thick chutney for Dosa was good. Chutney for Bonda and others was below average. Must try veg biryani also, it was so good.
