Recently visited Aravind Eye Hospital, theni it was crowded from early morning but they have controlled gently. Waiting time is high.They are following token system.. calling 5 persons once for checkup. For first time registration fee will be 100 rs. Which will be valid for 2 more visit with in 90 days. Staff care and hygiene was good. Easily we can complete all our test within 2h, but for doctor conceltation we have to wait for 2 more hours.But the quality and fee are comparatively less than others. There are no nearby restaurants available but they have a canteen inside the campus. food was decent, and cost is minimum. We can also pack our lunches as there is a dedicated space for eating. Car parking is limited to 10 cars, so be an early bird. Theni Busstand is located nearby, and autos are available any time. Patients are mostly from theni and nearby kerala regions. Cataract surgery is done very quickly. Just half an hour only. Thank you

Restrooms were very clean. Hospital management team, plz reduce the waiting time.

A model hospital of Aravind Eye Care, Madurai. The amount and extent of community work they do in the field of ophthalmology is just mind boggling. All world class ophthalmic facilities are there including 2 well equipped operation theatres. Staff is very polite and cooperative. Doctors are very knowledgeable yet down to earth. Teaching is also excellent. I wish such kind of centres at each and every nook and corner of India.

Today we went for a cataract surgery at this hospital from kerala .But it is very sorry to say, the behavior of the staff working at the counter no 4 is very bad , indecent and horrible ,Therefore we came back to kerala and went to another hospital.All people from kerala must be very careful .We wasted our time and money by visiting this hospital three times

Very worst experience. Totally disappointed . For Madras Eye I hardly waited for 2.30 hours. But still waiting for consultation.

Well known eye hospital situated in Theni, Tamil Nadu. Hospital is moderate clean and staffs are co opertive (but confused if you ask anything) . Counter number 1 for new registration, follow up registration and billing so it is always over crowded. That means you have to wait in the queue again if you need to pay any lab investigation. There Is NO SAPERATE BILLING COUNTER? . Need more organized OP handling. Parking space will not available if you come after 10am.

I Have visited this hospital more than 5 times. This review is purely my experience. 1. Nurses working here are trained to repeat the samething, If we ask something out of their routine memorized content then the patient will experience troubled treatment. 2. They demand attender with the patient during operation but at the neck moment they take their own decision without any consent. They defend the usual reason of stating patient is more important, we doctors know how to act on emergency. 3. I have strong doubt in their operation theatre hygiene. At least 2/10 patients (roughly) is being affected by madras eye infection soon after their operations. It is there at Madurai branch too 4. Situation in madurai branch is more horrible, if you walkin for regular check up, you can see at least 2000 peoples will be waiting and doctors availability is almost very low. On causal encounter with their employee, they told that management recruited and relayed on north indians but they all got back to their native after getting basic experience now the madurai aravind is flooded with patients lack of doctors to meet the patients 5. 90% of their medicines were their own labs medicines, they never work with other labs medicines or lenses. (Profit oriented service organisation) 6. If you registered in theni, if you visit next day at madurai then you have to pay and register as new one. 7. If made some scan at theni first day, if you visit second day at madurai, you will be given with specila consession but you will be waiting for at least 60 mins to get doctors sign for that. 8. They serve excellent food in their canteens. Seriously superb. Such monopoly in this market should be eradicated! Aravind Hospitals should over come their shortfalls! Once a great empire started experiencing their downfall! If you dont wake up, you will reach your previous competitors stage very quickly! Vision and Mission should be imbibed with the staff. Dont train your hospital nurses like teletellers/teleprompters! Do you wanna know who i am? I am the one who got undertaking from Dr.Dutta at Theni!
