One of the Best place in side delhi. There is a lots of sukoon in this park. Also it is best place for students to visit for learning new things about nature. I have visited this place for making park visit report. There is a lots of mines that is converted into greenery and houses of birds and butterflies. There is a place in this park where temperature is 4-7 degree lower than normal place. It feels like you are in heaven. Overall it is amazing place.
This place is extremely nice for a morning /evening walk and is a place with less crowd (almost no crowd) and is so peaceful with only nature's sound filling your ears So many butterflies ,there were some i have never ever seen in my life and flowers too and this place also has bathrooms, water available and grass to sit on . (there was so much more left to see for me even though i spent more than 2 hours there learning so many new things and enjoying myself and i would love to visit there again) A place worth going for but go when sun light is low or gone if you are not a fan of the sun.
Stretching over close to 700 acres, the Aravali Biodiversity Park covers a large stretch of the South Central Ridge, around Vasant Kunj and Vasant Vihar. Google Maps shows a default route from Basant Lok, which takes you through really narrow lanes which can be very daunting. A much easier route is to go from Vasant Kunj Pocket C: take the road past Delhi Public School, then turn to go past the Teri Institute, from where the park is just a short distance ahead. No entry fee is charged here. The park opens in the morning for a few hours, then closes to reopen again in the afternoon, from about 4 PM onwards in the summer. These are the standard hours for all of Delhi's biodiversity parks. You can walk in and take one of the paths that meander through the park. Note that there are no benches, no water, no vendors etc. You're on your own, so bring a water bottle, wear sturdy shoes, and enjoy the birdlife, the butterflies, and the beauty of the trees and wildflowers around.
Awesome as feel like you are close to nature in Delhi (High-tech city) & so silent place, hearing pleasant peacock sound roaming around you, beautiful natural scenery, plants, natural foot walkway.
A perfect place for walking and jogging especially in the morning it is a 2.5 km walk from one side total 5km. It connects vasant vihar as well from vasant kunj.
When you landed there, you feel like you are in heaven, lush green, trails having lot's of up and down, Must carry water, no electricity on the paths in night so better to leave before dark. If you are lucky enough you can meet Jackal and blueback , and natural habitat for birds.
A maintained and spacious park. For a walk through the woods, this is a perfect place in the area. Old fully grown trees, with a ecosystem of their own, that's something very special to be present in metropolitan cities. The stretch of the park has different walking trails, the longest will take more than an hour, leading to the gate on the opposite side. Early mornings in this park, with a cup of tea Madhyanchal and some light breakfast is time well spent.
Visit if you want to walk in the midst of nature. One can start from either Vasant Kunj end near Madhyanchal where is the main gate of the park or at the Vasant Vihar end. One set up and down will be around 5 km. One can take a diversion and go back to the original path asv well. Ons can see peacocks on the way in most cases and if you are very lucky you can see a peacock dancing with is full glory as in the picture below. The only bad thing about the park is its restricted timings many days either I had to cut short my walks or simply avoid entering into it because of time restriction.
