Serene and spiritually uplifting! The temple's architecture and tranquil atmosphere provided a peaceful retreat. Welcoming community and meaningful rituals enhanced the experience. A sacred place worth visiting for a sense of calm and reflection.

Aratupuzha is a culturally important village. The divinity of this place fills all who come here with optimism. The surrounding field reminds me of the past.

Must visit temple in Thrissur during Pooram days. Arattupuzha hosts one of the oldest poorams/festivals in Kerala. Pandi melam led by legendary Peruvanam was indeed an awesome experience! Pooram is really multifaceted. It might be people/rush for someone or elephants or melam. I did attend a pooram after 6/7 years, I guess. So it was indeed a visual treat for me!

This temple is believed to be more than 3,000 years old. It is believed to have been a Dravidian temple during those times and later evolved into a prominent Buddhist temple in Kerala. It came into the hands of the Hindus in the 8th century. The ancient and famous Dev Mela festival is held here. Puram is performed here on the back of 108 elephants. All the 108 elephants come from different temples. Each elephant represents a different deity. Aratupuzha Shasta will be the host. It is believed that all the gods and goddesses gather for this festival. "Ayyappan" is the main deity. It is believed that the divine presence of all the deities is present in this deity. The Shasta idol here is famous for the Shasta idol with the left leg and the right leg folded and holding the chamram, the left hand resting on the right thigh, the right leg resting on the knee and the right hand carrying the amrita kalash.

This temple is noted for its historic importance. The great ' Deva mela' was hosted by this temple. The deity is Shastha, In this temple the deity is worshipped as Vasishta the Guru of Lord Sreeram. This temple is famous for its poorams and percussions.Watching around 70 plus well adorned elephants in a row is just magnificent. The live drums, trumpets and flutes creates such a thumping music magic. Wish I could attend this festival year on year. Enough parking space is available near by the temple.
