Oldest temple, located within 10kms from GST Road. Public transport is difficult. Better to prefer own vehicles or rentes autos/cars. Temple will open after 7.00 AM usual days. When we went around 6.30, temple is closed. We waited sometimes and worshiped around 7. Place is peaceful and looks ancient with single color mandapams. Parking facility available. No near by shops or hotels. No facilities available. Temple can be maintained better. Overall a good visit.
The temple " a prathanai sthalam"is a place to be visited by people who pray for a child, marriage ,building a house and promotion of business. The priest always says few stories related to the temple before the puja and has excellent communication withthe devotees. (Lord Vishnu "Perumal"and Lakshmi "Thayar".Many devotees visit on Fridays and Sundays during 4.00pm to 6.00pm supposed to be auspicious for getting blessings from Thayar.Perumal in standing position is beautiful . Mostly people from Chennai come over here.Devotees have to offer fruits, flowers to Thayar and light camphor on rice . The route from Chennai: From padaalam Junction on the GST road turn left and go via the Padaalam sugar factory, railway gate (5-7 km distance) and reach Arasankoil onthe left side of the road.On the way is located a Siva temple that is open during and evening few hours. The priest will come on call. The temple is also an old temple .
Amazing Temple. Looks atleast a few Centuries old. Built with Granite fully. The Lord Varadaraja and Goddess Perundevi are fabulous. Andal Nachiyar and Garudalvar are also there. Though it isn't a large temple. It's neat, compact and nice. Good, Postive Vibrations. Pls do visit if you go via Padalam Koot Road to Thirukalukundram.
What a lovely way to begin a new year...today visited this temple with family and got blessed. An ancient looking temple surging with positive energy...in a lush and serene village...good to see restoration work happening after a possible long period of neglect...even temples can't escape the law of destiny and have to go through the trying times in its existence...!!! One request is to take care of the old and magnificent structures and musical pillars, while the restoration is taking place. God bless all.
Most Divine place. About 3000 years+ old temple. Sukra sthalam. Mahalakshmi Thayar with 6 fingers
Nice temple but not well maintained and mostly opens late
Situated on the southern bank of river Palar in Arasarkoil village, it's about 8km from Padalam intersection on NH45. The ancient Chozha period temple was recently renovated. The presiding deity is. Sri Kamala Varadaraja Perumal in standing posture with Sri Devi and BooDevi facing West and Goddess Sri Sundara Mahalakshmi in a separate shrine facing the East. Here Thayar seen in the seated Padmasana posture with both hands in Abayahastham Sundara Mahalakshmi has six toes on the right leg, six is Sukra's number hence it is believed that Mahalakshmi rules Sukra's power to bestow prosperity When we taped the stone pillars in the Thayar shrine they produce the echoing musical sounds.
