Araku is a beautiful place to visit, 100 km from Visakhapatnam. Best place to spend a weekend. The shiny look of the valley is lost due to the lack of yellow flowers which covered the whole valley from October to December. Valley missed the last star due to this.

Araku Valley is a hidden gem nestled in the Eastern Ghats of India. The lush green landscapes, coffee plantations, and tribal culture make it a unique destination. The serpentine roads leading to the valley offer breathtaking views. However, limited connectivity can be a drawback. The weather is pleasant year-round, but the monsoons can be a bit wet. The Borra Caves are a must-visit, showcasing stunning stalactite formations. The local tribal market is vibrant, offering handmade crafts and exotic spices. Accommodation options are varied, from luxury resorts to budget stays. It's a perfect getaway for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility.

Araku Valley is a hill station in Alluri Sitharama Raju district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, lying 111 km west of Visakhapatnam city. It is a valley in the Eastern Ghats inhabited by different tribes, mainly Araku Tribes. The altitude is about 1300 m above the sea level. The best suggested time for visiting Araku valley is between September to February. It gets quiet cold here after December and the temperature often goes as down as 4 degree Celsius. That said, many tourists prefer visiting Araku after August, mostly just after the monsoons. There is a charm about driving through its lush green fields, with the familiar smell of wet soil and the a yellow surface layer of the washed harvest till horizon.

June to September is the best time to visit Araku Valley for that signature monsoon magic. The greenery in the valley takes on lusher hues and the waterfalls are at their abundant best. The monsoons in Araku Valley are ideal for a quiet getaway since there aren't as many tourists at this time of the year.

In a popular place, water flows over the carpet like stone(a flat stone). The surrounding scenery is good. Some people take a dip, but I don't think it is healthy and safe. Complementary Dhimsa dance is also displayed.
