Aquarium Island Cafe by The Lake Hill - Bhimtal - Aquarium in Bhimtal - Nainital, India

This is one of the most unique cafe I have seen. Aquarium Island cafe is situated in middle of the Bhimtal and you can reach there by boat. This is the only cafe in Bhimtal probably that serves good latte (in rest of the cafe you will find cold coffees). They have beautiful lake viewing various seating spaces. They have exceptional collection of some of the exotic fishes. Go there, enjoy the boating experience, see the aquarium and then find a place to sip coffee while seeing the Bhimtal in all it's glory

Nice place to visit but not due to aquarium its more of a place where you will go just to click some lake side pics and the cafe is beautiful but portion size is very less in terms of cost. Aquarium is just for the namesake its more of a cafe situated on small island for which they charge you 100rs per person for entry and then you can order from Cafe, tastewise it was decent but not value for money. But you can get some good pics you can visit this place.

Wouldn't suggest to pay extra for boat riding and then see the aquarium. Unless you're an aqua life lover and like to spend time watching them. Also the food here sucks.. big time so don't even think of eating here. I regretted it a lot.

We visited it in May 2023. Pros of the cafe- 1. Good Location. 2. Senic views. 3 Ride a boat to reach the cafe, a different experience.cost of boat ride 350 Rs. All get a Pedal . 4.Tasty and reasonable food. 5. Well decorated. Cons of the cafe -- 1. NO WASHROOM. 2. Aquarium too small not worth for a 100 rs each ticket. 3. Atleast for small kids ticket should be less .

The place is very refreshing in a very heritage place full of temples. This place was very refreshing and smooth. Right in the lake surrounded by beautiful surroundings you have to boat to reach the hotel. Has a lot of different variety of fishes some of which you can't find very easily. All in all a must visit if you're closer to Nainital.

Great place to have your kid's look at the aquarium with the fishes and then delve into great dishes.

The aquarium cafe is worth a visit. A 5min boat ride to reach the cafe. Entry price per person for aquarium Rs-100/- Boat ride - Rs 400/- Nicely maintained. Good variety of fish. Interesting place for kids. The terrace gives a spectacular view of the whole lake and mountains. You get an hour to spend and can grab a cup of coffee / snacks while you enjoy the breeze. Prefer to visit around evening.
