They are charging minimal fee of 30 rs only and 25 for the camera. Fish collection is okiesh and so is the state of the entire complex. But with the childern you can visit it once.
The aquarium itself is more like private little fish tanks. It contains mostly small fishes of common variety. Only one big fish is there. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there to see fishes which probably you can see more in the fish markets. The security staff rips you off by charging unnecessary charges for mobile photography even if you don't want to do that. My mobile got a big deep scratch when I deposited my mobile with the guard and they said they didn't do it but they did. The guard was laughing with his friends afterwards.
Happy to know that our Jammu Aquarium is the largest underground aquarium in India. There are varieties of fishes we can observe here. Administration has taken due attention at the cleanliness. One of the best spot for aquatic animal lovers. I enjoyed wandering there.
A large Fish aquarium located in (Bahu) Jammu., near Bagh-e-bahu park. A well maintained, neat and clean underground aquarium and park on it's upper side. Ticket price is Rs30/- person. It has a great view point on its park. If you are looking for giant fishes then you are on the wrong place, there are around 20-25 types of alive small fishes, only one fish i found of large body that is Piranaah. Great Spot for children's.
Its a beautiful fish house and a one of its kind place. Different species of fish can be seen here kept in aquariums of different sizes.The complex is beautiful and over looks Tawi river and offers great views around. The museum inside is immaculately maintained and one can see preserved specimens of various sea creatures and sea shells. There is a picture gallery showing details about fish, fishing techniques, costume, etc.
A very good place in Jammu to visit. You can see a variety of fishes in aquarium here. There is a museum also. A ticket is needed for visiting the fish house and also for photography. The fish house is situated in the premises of Bahu Fort in Jammu.
