Apollo Gleneagles cancer hospital - Private hospital in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

So many issues to highlight. Its been more than 6 months since my mother is being treated at this hospital but no improvement whatsoever even after constant complaints and highlights. Its just not how my mother were taken care but its overall observation with other patients as well. 1. The assitant doctor at 3rd floor day care is very lazy. Sometimes I feel why he became doctor if he didnt want to deal with infectious disease. Thats what gloves and other protections are for. 2. There is no co ordination among staff and nurses. 3. Very experienced doctor as well makes mistakes causing issues with patient. They do not know how to perform stitch properly. 4. Nurses talk too much among themselves instead of taking care of patients. 5. Procastination is like this hospital's motto. 6. Dumping each other's work is like a common practice among nurses and staffs. 7. And ofcourse the overpriced care. From tests to simple procedures. I am giving 2 stars only because of some nurses and doctors such as Dr. P N Mahapatra, Dr Deblina and how they keep clean and maintain infrastructure. We are only continuing because of doctors.

I visited yesterday this hospital travelled from sunderban almost 200km.....but this doctor and his assistent their egoistic behaviour showed me the true culture of this hospital they take patient as business opportunity they show discrimination through look, what people wear jut because I didn't wear a vip dress they didn't see me nor asked me my problems or else what doctor in the world behave like that. Instead wrote one test again they took back just because I asked to meet the doctor but doctor in his ego took black the report slip and asked to leave.... Very bad experience but the crew members were humble, polite and helpful but upper heads are proud and I'll mannered

My Father was admitted in the Gastro Building (under Dr. Goenka & Team) for obstructive jaundice. The bilirubin reduced from 23 to 4.5 in 3 weeks but as per doctors, due to some infection buildup during the procedures (Stenting / Ascites removal/ others at Apollo Gleneagles hospital) my father passed away while admitted in the hospital. This is after the Doctors there said that the condition is stable and he would be discharged after a couple of days of observation. How things can change overnight in the hands of capable nurse/ward members that the patient went from stable to "flat ecg". The doctors here hardly spend 30 seconds (at max 1 minutes) briefing the treatment progress (with some specific doctors worse than others, and 1/2 really nice doctors in this term.. Good luck in landing up with them). We were not given a chance to share a word with my father while we were asked to stay in hospital from 10AM and we were just outside the GITU ward for the rest of the day till evening the news shattered us. And doctors were saying from morning that "anything can happen at any moment". If they were certain of "IT" then what's the point of putting a curtain and doing procedures while the family members were waiting outside the door for final words. The so called doctors/ward members are not capable of enabling a patient to talk to their family members for the final time. This hospital is just there to mint money. Shamelessly they send the bill for clearance while wiping out the joy from our family. We cannot get him back, I would suggest you to get to this hospital only if there are no other option. I have not heard anyone loosing his life when the primary problem was resolved but due to medical negligence internal infection happened in hospital and a fit patient walking into the hospital on his own and loosing his life due to medical negligence. In india there is poor infra to challenge decisions taken by doctor / hospital collectively. You might be loosing your dear one due to the hasty decisions of arrogant doctors who are there to mint money.

The staffs are absolutely disgusting. Their behaviour towards the patient party is very rude. The service was once really well but now it's below average. There's delay in everything.

I've had my mother TKR from Apollo. Stuff and environment very amiable. Dr. Tathagata Das was our Surgen . Highly recommended for patients looking for TKR.

It's a great hospital in EM Bypass. You will get all departmental doctors here in OPD. Location and cleanliness is just awesome.

Worst hospital don't believe in this hospitals and doctors all they do is work for money. They will do millions of test first to increase the bill and after 2/3 days will say the patient is not recovering.This hospital values money over human life.

Hospital is good. But if you go for medical record department..... Then you feel government instructions is far better than them. I am looking for my address updates for my baby birth certification .... for this simple job i visited thrice there's office.... and still not done.
